Finally managed to convince a mate of mine who is a member at Royal Canberra to come out and have a hit on Sunday 25th. We've got the last comp slot - 11:57.

Two slots available so thought it might be a good opportunity to see if any of the ACT ozgolfers would like to come and play with a NAGA off 20 :)

Thanks to Buzz for the game today, was great to meet a new Ozgolf member

Lovely weather and the golf wasn't too bad, highlight was the 9th hole in a group of three, we had a total of 12 points for the hole :D
Just a shame I couldn't play a bit better on the back nine………….

Great day thanks Monsta for venturing out ... Most pleasant afternoon with great company.Was the most bizarre round ever, 4 wipes, two birdies, it's not often you shoot 32 stableford that includes every score from wipe through to five.Monsta's eagle was superb, I discovered I definitely need a new putter, and I had a few nervous moments where I thought the dreaded four putt was seriously in play!

Uphill par five, running parallel to the first. Not especially long but the trickiest of Belconnen's greens, slopes away back down the hill a fair bit. Bunkers to the left and right on the tee shot also.

How the 9th is index 8 I will never know. Its a 442m straight par 5!

Indeed. It's also 20 which is how I managed to get 4 and 5 :)

Still it plays longer than that with the hill.

Last time I played there (off the whites) it was driver 8 iron. Ok, it was with a handy little tailwind and dry with 50m of run... ;)

Blue comp tees are now further back on a separate tee box. But yes it's not the worlds longest par five, I went 5wood / 4 iron / 5 iron and I'm a long way from being a big hitter.

It's tree lined all the way though so it's a hole where accuracy is way more important than distance.
