Hi all,
Missed the last month around here, just back from a cruise on the Sun Princess from Sydney all the way through to Kobe, Japan. We had port stops in Darwin, Bali, Singapore, Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang, Hong Kong, Xiamen, Kochi, Kobe. Then Shinkansen bullet train to Tokyo, three days there, including a day at Disneyland for the kids.
We were amazingly lucky with the weather, somehow avoided all the cyclones and the sea was absolute glass for most of the way. I took a few photos I'm currently uploading to Flickr, the sea was so calm the ship cut through the water like it was butter, the wake was curving rather than breaking into foam at times.
I think Singapore and Japan were the highlights ... both amazingly clean and well organised. Surprisingly easy to get around in Japan, so much English on the signs and trains, even if most people don't speak it. Vietnam was great too.
Looking forward to getting back into golf though, new set of Mizuno's have been waiting in the garage for a month!
