Lagerlover has kindly organised a fourball with carts. Cost will be $5.00 per shank for his chosen charity.

Could be costly, could be cheap.. who likes to gamble ;)

1. Shavey
2. LL

I'll see if I can get a way out there. I'd be keen, haven't played Hills in years

I'll play Shavey.

Back Marker is the 3rd Friday of the month, not Wednesday? Website says tomorrow is a single Stab.

My bad... Is there a preference either way boys between the Wednesday or Friday as I'm currently available for both?

Tomorrow is good for me. Working Friday.

It is very dry and not in real good nick at the moment.

A lot of courses in SEQ seem to be in that condition.

Mt Warren is even worse than Hills.

When did you last play it Steve? I was out there on the range last week and the course proper didn't look too bad. Greens and surrounds were lush, the rest of the course was and always has been brownish.

Iain, looks like they have times all morning and it's $15.00 through iseek. Care to play elsewhere or happy there?

Two weeks ago in Pennant. It was horrible.

Thanks mate, enough said. I've played a little at Helensvale and it's an enjoyable track at the right price... Even better with a referral from Blakey :D

Yeah I wouldn't be driving all the way out there if there is something closer.
I've never played Helensvale but I would think they would have had more rain than Hills.

Sorry to stuff you around lads but I've got a job interview in Brisbane on Thursday at 1030 so is there any chance we can move to that afternoon?

Forgot to mention to those new to the thread, disregard the previous messages as this was regarding another game.

So, Lager and I are still chasing up two willing participants so add your name to the list.

Thanks for organising this Big Dick, t'was fun! I hadn't played GG for a few years, so was interested to see the revised layout. I liked the new 14th, 15th was OK, and the 16th plays better as a par 4, than it did as a par 3 imo. The fairways are looking pretty stressed, and there are lots of dry water holes;

No worries Dave, thought the opening three holes were the jewel in their crown.

Some of those pics of Shavey's fairway hits look a bit drier than I remember..

What was your score through the first three again? I seem to have forgotten....

Yep, Snozz seems to be in all my pics of water hazards for some reason.....

If the 16th is the Par for with the dry dam in your pics it means they have taken a hole away from somewhere else, as it was the 17th for quite a while ( they skipped that par 3)

Did you notice any other holes been dug up ?

The long par 3 17th is back in the mix. Easy hole.....

The old 3 (par 3) and old 5 (or 6, or 7 depending on when you played) par 3 is out as well. Nothing has been dug up. The long par 5 4th (an added hole) and the par 4 back 6th have been left to grow over for the last few years...

And yes, I could imagine the course being very dry.
Although it looks like they've been pumping the water around, possibly in anticipation of some rain over winter (as per previous years?)

4,4,2 mate... Then almost doubled my total score by the end of the fourth, damn wide fairways..

You made 4 on the 2nd? That hole sets up so well for you to make about 9

The fairway is wider than it is long.... The last 15 holes were killers.

And maybe I could have offloaded my wedges after you started, um.. having alignment issues ;)

Thanks again for the hit boys, always plenty of laughs playing with you LL. Nothing beat that almighty drive you hit to the front edge on that dogleg par 4 into the wind Rich. I can't believe Spida Everett threw your ball 100m back into the scrub. You must have nearly killed him you were that close!

Just ordered two dozen noodles off the bay Shavey... had no idea they were that long.

Must admit, did get a little excited, swelling still hasn't gone down.

Probably for the best though, would've been a fair bit of pressure to par it from there.

Took some comfort in watching the spida hit it sideways..
