Whats the condition of Gainsborough Greens atm.
No offence but i thought it was a goat track last time i played it?
I was staying at Sanctuary Cove for a Conference when they where re-doing both courses so they offered us a round at G.G.
It was a truly uninspiring wannabe track.....

timah!

Mate it was when Sanctuary Cove was just about finished the reno's, few years back.
Had i been up there say 2 weeks later the SC would have been open.
Blaz might know?
It was in really shabby condition..... and i thought we payed way overs......

PeteyD
11th March 2014, 09:30 AM
It is never going to be a great track, but it would be in significantly better condition now I would think. It always suffers when it rains a lot, but that should not be an issue that time of year.

Gainsborough Greens is Ok, especially for 45 bucks.
It's condition is crap in the wet, and crap in the drought, just like almost every other course built on gold coast swamps.

Don't like any of the new holes, nor most of the extra 5 holes that get changed in and out depending on other construction. Eventually the whole course was to be redone but the GFC stopped that

Probably because by the end of the trip to VIC everyone who was there knew whose the real OZgolf champs were, so QLD and WA now have to have their prefixes. ;)

Hello people ok i have the following pricing for you. Please be aware that i need you to pair up and pay per room if you are taking the stay and play option, I have twin or kings available (if we have any couples)

Inclusions:

Option 1:

3 nights accommodation for 2 adults at Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove Resort
Full buffet breakfast daily for 2 adults
18 holes of golf at Sanctuary Cove The Palms (Championship Round 1 - Saturday) for 2 adults
18 holes of golf at Sanctuary Cove The Pines (Championship Round 2 - Sunday) for 2 adults
18 holes of golf at Links Hope Island (Fun round - Monday) for 2 adults
Price per 2 adults - $1197.00 ($598.50 per person) if anyone wants to have a single room with all inclusions but for one adult the price is $912.00
Transfers are included using the hotel shuttles for the three local rounds (Gainsborough not included)

Option 2:
2 nights accommodation for 2 adults at Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove Resort
Full buffet breakfast daily for 2 adults
18 holes of golf at Sanctuary Cove The Palms (Championship Round 1 - Saturday) for 2 adults
18 holes of golf at Sanctuary Cove The Pines (Championship Round 2 - Sunday) for 2 adults
Price per 2 adults - $798.00 ($399 per person)
If anyone wants to have a single room with all inclusions but for one adult the price is $608.00
Transfers are included using the hotel shuttles for the two local rounds (Gainsborough not included)

Option 3:
1 nights accommodation for 2 adults at Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove Resort
Full buffet breakfast for 2 adults
18 holes of golf at Sanctuary Cove The Palms (Championship Round 1 - Saturday) for 2 adults
18 holes of golf at Sanctuary Cove The Pines (Championship Round 2 - Sunday) for 2 adults
Price per 2 adults - $679.00 ($340 per person)
If anyone wants to have a single room with all inclusions but for one adult the price is $444.00
Transfers are included using the hotel shuttles for the two local rounds (Gainsborough not included)

Option 4:

Alternatively I can book you for golf only which will cost $350.00 (Palms, Pines and Hope Island) which equates to my hotel rates for all three courses. As you can see the real value is in the Stay and Play option but it might not suit all. Best i can do with rates at this stage, Stay and Play option is first in best dressed I am afraid due to availability... for anyone wanting to book golf only i will give my bank details as soon as you confirm participation.

Guys I have very limited availability for this due to the fact it is a long weekend. If you want this option i need an email so i can send you a credit authorisation as you will need to prepay to secure the booking.

Email to be sent to jeff.blaszkowski@ihg.com

The weekend after is a lot quieter and if there was more demand for Stay and Play I wouldn't have any issues catering for anybody the weekend of the 10th October but I am guessing the long weekend is preference.

I currently have the following tee times booked

Sat 4 October - The Palms - From 1004am for 40 players
Sun 5 October - The Pines - From 756am for 40 players
Mon 6 October - Hope Island - Tee times to be confirmed

Hi Kristian

It would have to be in one hit. Normally in a group scenario i put a contract together but with this being very much hit and miss i cant hold any rooms without payment because it is a long weekend and we will sell out. I only have about 30 rooms left at this stage. So i need $1197 in one hit per room to cover all activities.
