It was marginally longer but a guaranteed arrival. I wouldn't worry about it.

If memory serves me correctly we had dinner at Maccas not too far out of Toowoomba so that would indicate that it was a late departure. I reckon it is doable if you don't hang around too long.

The roadworks issue is less than it was last year. Last year the game was on a few days after roadwork started and one full lane up was closed and traffic was taking an hour or more from the bottom. Now it's certainly two lanes up, and mostly 2 down. Though about half the way it's a 40 zone for the rest of the way. There's about 4 x 60 zone sections between brissie and here, so maybe 10 to 15 minutes on your trip. But I reckon that's it.

Can't remember what time it finished last year; do they have a start time set this year? Might be a bit of a squeeze to get back for an 8.30 flight.

What is the story with the road up there these days? Finished yet?

The range itself is fine. It's all the roadworks between Brisbane and Toowoomba now that take all the time. It took me a good 2hrs last time I drove up a couple of weeks ago.

There were no "stops" but all roadwork areas were down to 60 and 40kmph.

Just a heads up for those coming up Friday, especially if you haven't headed up this way since last year. I just got back from brissie, and it took me a little under 1hr30mins from when I drove under the centenary motorway overpass to about City GC. That included peak hour up the range, but since it's 40k/hr for half of that that doesn't make any difference.

Team Guts - $1.80 - favourites. Won last year and are that cocky that they have brought in a ranga. Have dc68 on board so are morals.

Team Fitness - $3.00 - obviously fine physical specimens but also taking a risk by bringing grunt into the team. Loose cannon.

Team Cool Shoes - $5.00 - greyest team name ever. Who takes that much notice of their wheels? Daves could be hindered by being the only straight man in the team.

Team ? - $9.90 - Team will be shattered after being defriended by jarro. Has this sort of thing ever happened before? Vegas is a late alternate. Very very well rested.

Team Wantima - $2.50 - bringing in a PGA member shows just how much it means to them. ddasey might as well start his pre shot routine now. #canwaggle
