Here are the details of the Parkrun that we are looking to do on Saturday morning.

Albert parkrun (http://www.parkrun.com.au/albert-melbourne/)
To participate in a parkrun, you need to register (http://www.parkrun.com.au/register/) and print out a barcode for yourself. The run itself is free, but without this barcode you won't get a finishing time.

Last year, I ran between the race and the hotel. It's not far as the crow flies, but there is a big lake that gets in the way, so it is about 2.4k (http://connect.garmin.com/activity/274828237) to get there, 5k for the run (http://connect.garmin.com/activity/274828229), then the return, to make about 10k all up.

Last week's course times (http://www.parkrun.com.au/albert-melbourne/results/latestresults/): Fastest - 16m13s, Slowest - 1h01m20s.
238 runners/walkers.
I ran 19m30s last year, but I think I'm a bit slower this year.

Start time for parkruns is 8am in Melbourne, so we should leave the hotel no later than 7:40a.

Haysey and I will headover for a run (then a possible spew). Does anyone else want to have a trot?

Right, the barcode thingy. Better not forget that.

Are you interested in a Friday morning run as well? We don't hit off until 1:30p.

Definitely possible, Andy. No more than an easy 5km maybe?

Goughy, so just like a normal run in cairns then.

You have to run there as well.... I don't think my foot/ankle could hold up to those rigors with walking and carrying all weekend.

Definitely possible, Andy. No more than an easy 5km maybe? We could go to the Tan and do a loop and back. I could add an extra loop for myself, if I felt like it.

To clarify, I want it dry for golf. Just want it to rain on ap and haysey for the park run.

I ran this morning with my local running club. 7.8km, and ran the last 5k in about 23:30. I lost a bit of time early though, because I was busy running around to every golfer I know in the group and babbling about royal Melbourne.

About 19:50 for me and I defended my title.
I wasn't planning on racing, so I started out relatively easy, but picked up pace as I kept overtaking people.

Haysey ran it in 27:38.
