You are misunderstanding slope my shanky friend. 121/130 times not very much, is still not very much. Higher handicappers will likely lose 1 to 2 shots though.

Did anyone end up playing Wynnum? If so, what condition is the course?.

Yep. I can't remember the last time I played there so I don't know what it's usually like but I thought it was in pretty good nick. Fairways mostly well grassed, just the odd spot that could have done with a bit more, no mud or slush.

Not that it affects me because I rarely get any spin anyway but a couple of blokes I played with had trouble stopping the ball on the greens early. I got the impression they weren't used to them being that way but they worked them out pretty quickly so nothing too problematic.
