After a quick tip if possible, played today and don't think I hit the ball first all day long. Even short iron and wedges. Any thoughts??

Are you hitting your driver ok?
If you are my first thought would be too much tilt in your set up to the irons. But I am off 19 so caveat emptor.

I find on the irons if I concentrate on the front of the ball instead of the back of the ball and have less tilt in the set up I hit ball first.

Then stop!

Don't look for a band aid, fix the problem.

Is a flipper one that scoops the ball?

I get decent contact now on my irons but I don't take a divot, hence probably hitting the ball/grass connection point

Also want to hit the ball first more as well

Swing shorter, ie not to parallel, and as MTB said, take wrists out.

Flippers have too much weight on the back foot at impact.

Don't let your weight shift back on the back swing.,( coil around yourself)
Your weight needs to be forward at impact.
Makes it hard to flip from this impact position too.

Were you fit for the clubs you are using? As they may be part of the prob, my 2c

Set up to a mirror.

Are you creating the reverse k? Put a shaft hanging from the centre of your chest, and lean away from the target until the shaft points to the inside of Your right foot.

This is always my problem and my pro fixes me in two seconds every time.

Diagnosed, and fixing. Right hand to far on top, so the only way to get the face square at impact was to flip.
