You could probably shorten that to 4 Right, or 4 R.

Some. There is generally a lot less stampable area on a putter, unless you have custom moulds to support the head; I just use a flat anvil

No, blue plastic for the letters and yellow for the numbers. I think it's a bit if a lottery on eBay but these work really well. I've been able to do a lot of kitchenware as well which is generally a bit harder than golf club stainless

For those wanting to do their own I would say an anvil is probably more important than the stamps. If you're just using a table or bench you will get pretty poor results even with good stanps

What happened? How did you set up/do it? Easiest way I found is double sided tape on the face and on the anvil part of the vice, gives it a little bit of cushion plus holds it firmly, then I put masking tape over the part that is getting stamped and it stops the stamp from sliding all over the club, then just 3 decent smacks with a decent lumpy hammer.

High density rubber not pillow foam :). You could also use some conveyer belt rubber or the anti fatigue workshop floor matting

Shane788
10th February 2014, 10:10 PM
I put double sided tape on the face and on the anvil part of the vice and just stick the face to the anvil and the club doesn't move what so ever and it protects it.

Awesome, cheers Benno!

I did read a bunch of forums from the States that recommend certain brands, but can't find them in Australia.

Seems the difference is what the stamps have been hardened to and the depth of the sharp stamp side?
