Australian Golf Digest have just done theirs ...

So .. Pick 2 par 3's, 2 par 4's and 2 par 5's ... all on different courses that you've played and list them here.

Then we'll compile our Ozgolf 18.

Never played Redland Bay, but it would need to be something special to knock Nambour off.

I used to remember all of the holes that I played, but now I really struggle to think of them. Some standout though.

Par 3
National Old 7 (http://www.nationalgolf.com.au/both/old/hole7.mhtml) - Visually stunning and daunting hole. Massive green. I hit the green in regulation, then chipped over the "spine" and hit the putt in.
Narooma 3 (http://www.naroomagolf.com.au/golfcourse-3rd-hole.html) - Once again a magnificent looking hole. I believe it is the only time that I have hit a golf ball into the ocean. Par with the reload though.

Par 4
Coolum 18 (http://resources0.news.com.au/images/2011/11/25/1226205/821588-aust-pga-at-coolum.jpg) - A hole where every level of golfer can decide how much of that water they want to take on for their tee shot and approach.

Par 5
Palm Meadows 18 (http://www.on-par.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/palmmeadows18-500x344.jpg) - The green looks so close, yet so far. I'm not long enough or brave enough to consider going for the green in two, but it still doesn't make the hole easy though.

I might have to come back to this.

Not a fan? I'm not really nominating on strategy, but more of a wow factor. Don't hate it, but I just don't think it is that great either. It's been a long time since I played Sanctuary Cove Pines but if memory serves me right the 18th there is almost a carbon copy. I actually think 13 is more fun and not dissimilar.

Coolum 18 also has a bit of prestige to it, after hosting a tournament there for so many years. I agree that there are probably many holes around that are very similar to it, Glades 18th being another example.

To me it's just another par 4 with water down the left hand side waiting for me to hit a rare duck hook.

You should have re-read my course guide before teeing off. ;)

I knew where not to go. I knew I shouldn't have been there. I played the completely wrong shot twice. 5 shots from within 15m is just stupid play, nothing else.

To be fair, Solarman was chopping it around in the trees behind you. That's a fairly Sasquatch sized distraction right there.
