I was just posting on www.ozhoopsboards.com (Basketball forum) and I got to wondering about how many forums people belong to and post on regularly.

For me, OZgolf is where I visit & post more than anywhere else.
Next would be ozhoopsboards.com, as I still play basketball & hold a season membership at the Cairns Taipans.
I also spend some time in the forums at www.dpreview.com (that's Digital Photography, Jarro - not what you where thinking  )
After that, it's a mix of infrequent visits to several other forums of various subjects (photography/ photoshop/ music), most of which I am not registered on.

There's forums for everything.... EVERYTHING.

If i'm heading out for a fish somewhere, i'll do a quick search of some forums about locations and gear to use. Football clubs have fan-based forums. I regularly tell people to check the internet for a forum specifically around their interests, because they exist!

I only post on one or two, and struggle to keep up with posts on them.

i post on a few ..... the usual golf ones GolfWRX.com ..... Bombsquad .... Tourspec.com.

I also check into NRLrant.com now and then to talk Rugby league with 15 year old kids

I also check out a few musician sites to talk equipment and stuff.

geez, i do visit a lot of forums  you guys should consider yourselves lucky that i choose to spend so much time here with the rest of you

I look at some other golf forums maybe once a week; only once a month or less at the mo with the time I have. The only other forum I really look at are Brighthands palm TX pda forums, but that's it.

The angst is still definitely there Moe, Subtle and snide references to 'the non friendly site", the 'qlders' and so on. Even from the Admin.

And its especially more prelevant in the PM's that i have received. That alone is no surprise to me, but when you get them from someone you have never heard of before, you gotta think that its pretty sad that someone is living with this kind of burden.

Let's not make this an ISG vs OzG thread guys. I still direct people there if they have the answers someone is after. No, I don't go there myself anymore, but since I don't have enough time to keep up with things here where would find the extra time.

Apart from here:

I am one of the staff writers on Spin Starts Here (http://www.spinstartshere.com)

I read/post on Octopus Overlords (http://www.octopusoverlords.com/phpBB2) a PC gaming site.

The World of Warcraft forums.

And of course my own blog (http://dilletante.tenpm.com.au) and other similar blogs.

heh, I've had no problems over there myself but I'll take your word for it. they are very different sites and I use them for different reasons. Having said that, they can't all be bad because it was an ISG'er who directed me here in the first place!

I used to read ISG a fair bit, but hardly ever posted much after ozgolf started. I can't even look at ISG anymore at work, as it triggers the porn filter! honestly, they got some good stuff there, but I'm really only interested in playing golf and equipment... two areas where they are particularly weak.

Obviously, this is the forum where I read and post the most.
As I am an administrator here, I am also a member of the phpBB forum (http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/) for MODs, version updates or problems.

I selectively read threads on ISG, and occasionally post. I have no problem admitting it, although I am not sure if it is known by many there that I am an admin here.

I mostly read at an unofficial footy forum, Hawk Headquarters (http://www.hawkheadquarters.com), and post now and then.

Sometimes I visit forums for specific authors or musicians too, or if google pops one up on a search.

I post far more on ISG than I do here, but that's not a reflection of either site. I don't believe I have had any problems with anyone on either site. Unless you are hiding stuff from me.

I'm not into equipment.
I'm not into advice on how to change my swing.
I'm not into pro golf tours.

I'm mainly into golf courses & their architecture & ISG have some good discussions on courses & architecture.

I also post on GCA for the same reason.

Same for me, Andrew.

But I like this site because of the golf that we play.  The majority of my posts both here, and formerly at ISG are in the 1st Tee area.

I'm starting to get into this a bit more, but the discussions still get too 'heavy' for my understanding.

I've noticed that ISG has really gotten into the instructional side of things. That's something I would have though was best kept between a player and their pro.

I like to read the archy buffs spruking about their courses. that's something we lack here. I've just written my first course review of barny Dunes - feel free to dump some big words on me!

The internet is cheaper than a $48 half hour lesson with their pro

Actually - I've chatted with their teaching guy about a few things - nice guy and it makes sense - though because it's TGM, it's all very technical.
