A couple of other forums I am involved with have a like button as an option on a post so the original poster or others can acknowledge the input of others to their thread without having to feel they need to make comment

I've seen it too. I haven't used it much though. It's a bit of a facebook thing.

AP not a Facebook like button, just a normal like. In other forums it works like a + & - thing with likes and reporting inappropriate posts.

It is available in vBulletin 5, and can also be added as a paid modification in this version of vBulletin 4. I don't know if a free modification for liking posts exists.

Are you trying to cut down on "+1" posts, jarro?

Jarro
27th November 2014, 06:54 AM
Yeah AndyP ... No more "+1" posts would be good.

I'm on another forum that uses the like/dislike button, and it really cleans the place up.

Just a thought.

For the record I don't do the like, really do we care who likes. Or are we so insecure that we need to be satisfied with a like?

Thanks for the bumps.

There are several things to consider before installing a like button function. Do we really need it? What will it cost? What options are there? Will the site need an upgrade? How much time will it take to implement, and will it be an easy install? Will it work with Tapatalk?

I have done a bit of research on it this morning, and will discuss some options with the OZgolf team.
