Playing this course under the Australian PGA setup was no mean feat. Our 12th (the 3rd for the pro's, from memory) was a 570m par 5 which played straight into a 2 club headwind. How did you fare?

Personally, I hit a decent baby draw with driver that finished in the 2nd cut on the right side. It had a good lie though, so I hit a low-flighted hybrid which I struck well but pulled slightly. From the left side rough, I still had around 180 to go, so I hit a 6 iron up the right side for the best angle to the flag. It kicked right and found the rough (again). The 25m pitch came out a bit hot and ended up about 8 metres past the flag, but still on the dance floor. I left the first putt about 2m short, but canned the follow-up for an "easy" 6/2. Phew!

Nice draw off the tee with the driver ended up on the right hand side of the FW, took a call from Dotty then proceeded to chop it deluxed the rest of the way home including 2 balls in the hazard....

Driver peeled right and got rooted. Stabbed out with a 3 iron and then hit 2 six irons and then an 8 iron approach. Chipped on a two putted for fk all points:)

Driver, 3W, 3W to rough just off the green on the right. Chip and a putt for an easy 5/3.

Hit driver that crept into the 2nd cut on the right. Shit lie. Gouged hybrid out all of 150m. 200 in, hit the purest 3 wood in the world that just turned over into the right pot, pin high. Splashed out to about 12 feet but couldn't make the putt.

6/1.

I hit driver right to be blocked slightly by the trees. I could advance it with hybrid if I aimed for the left side of the fairway, but I pushed it right, hit the tree in front and stayed in there, which required a bunt out onto the fairway. 3 shots down and left with 300+ into the wind, I flushed a 2 hybrid and 5I, then sank the putt for a satisfying 6.

I think you might have. You definitely birdied 3 though.

I went hard driver into the first cut, buried down 4 inches. Hack hook hybrid up into the left rough about 220m out. Sitting up so hit 3 wood into left piss. Take drop, chip up, miss putt and half lefty with a 7/1.

You had your back to it. ;)

For me (and the memory's somewhat vague):

Pushed driver to the rough between the cart path and water
7 iron over the trees to left rough, partially obscured by overhanging branches
Punch 5 iron to 120m
Pulled PW to back edge
2 putts for 6/2

Shavey certainly did. That was the one where he hit the tree and it went flying 80m back!

And now I remember, there was water. You were in it on the right, L!

Hit is hard, then hit is harder, then go after the next, chip it up with some finesse and box the putt.
