With the time flying by as quickly as it is, after speaking to Spud, we agreed that we had best start planning the ACT Christmas Classic for 2013.

Location: Gungahlin Lakes Golf Club
Date: Sunday the 29th of December (Christmas day is Wednesday this year)
Tee time: 3 groups booked starting 11:32

I am going to have to change my pencil to a 4H or something lighter.

After making my comeback Friday week ago after the arse tear (no homo) I suffered at the NSW Champs, seems my physio may have had me concentrating too much on the butt muscles and as such I have since then, been suffering a nice bout of Sciatica. :( Severe pain in the butt and left calf (think constant calf cramp) and add to that constant pins and needles in my left foot. Today is my 10th day of pain and not much is helping.

My Doc has said no golf for the interm... so not sure when I will be back :(

Maybe just put me on a reserve list perhaps??

Sucks though... I did the right thing, physio, daily exercises, waited almost an extra 2 weeks after given the all clear. But then this happens! Not happy Jan! :(

At this stage, we have 3 groups from 11:40, which gives guys from Sydney plenty of time to get down here. Its a very easy 2 hours 30 from the M5/M7 junction

Our 12th is my mate Dee-Boy, who tried to play last year but melted down in the heat.

Just to let you know, we lost our main irrigation pipe a fortnight ago (great timing) and it has not been repaired yet so the course has gone very dry in the fairways. Tees and greens are still in VGC, but the course will play differently with a ton of run which will bring hazards not generally in play into play, and allow the big bombers to have a go at a couple of par 5s in two.

Nice to finally meet Monsta, Spud and Nug.
Enjoyed the course, very country esq...
Could have scored better if i putted better (i spose we all could have) but the greens looked so nice but played so different?
I enjoyed the layout, but like Blu said, they could have used more of the space, and cut out so many very long par 3's.
Good to finally play with Kev, should have a good time at Vic Champs with him being there.
Highlight was watching #binhchoppingitup driving the 14th and 3 putting it for par....WTF!!!!:D

The greens were poo - they have not been rolled since well before Christmas, and were shaggy and slow. Until the green staff get off holidays, they will remain that way...

I don't mind the par 3's being long - 3 normally plays downwind, so the 180m to the middle plays anywhere between a 5 to 7 iron.
5 plays around 160m, back into the wind, so its 5 or 6 iron. It was front pin and front tee yesterday (155) so I hit 8 iron.
11 normally has a cross wind, and is 175 to the front and 205 to the back.
17 used to be 175, but they brought in the short tee to have a 135m par three which is a far better hole
