Ping Karsten 2009 putters

Thinking of getting a Anser model for the old man. They look a bit cheap and nasty are they dogs or wolf in sheeps clothing?

The karsten series were the base cheap model. Saying that some pros still use them.

They are just a cast stainless steel putter. Firm feeling off the face, like the old school stainless PINGS. Mark Wilson still uses that model as does Martin Kaymer who used a Karsten Anser2 when he won the PGA in 2010.

That was the first putter I had and it was brilliant. Martin Kaymer used one to win the PGA. It's an excellent choice.

Dad has always had a stiffie for the old Ansers. It's not a question of price as the last putter I gave him was a Hiro Matsumoto which he lost.

There is a big difference between these 2 putters. The original is extremely light and most seem to sit closed. I have a Karsten Anser series and 2 of the originals here.

Anyway here is a pic of the custom job I did this week on my Karsten. I wanted it to match my circa 62 in colour. Black gloss and a white sightline and a new orange dot.
