The distance control is fantastic for a mallet head. I tried to like the Daddy Long Legs, Spider Blade, and Spider S but the pure roll insert is too soft. I had to really whack the putter hard on lag putts to get it to come anywhere close to the hole. On short putts, they were very stable but long putts were hard to gauge how far they would go. With the WHP, it was so easy to get the speed right and the insert didn't feel mushy to me, and felt firmer. The Versa range also uses the same WHP insert supposedly.
