Hi All,

Planning a golf trip up east, can only think of the 3 mission hill resorts which my father in law has already played and gave me a run down...

Any other locations that we can squeeze 5 rounds of golf in a week with out too much travel in between courses.

Also whats a good agent in Australia to use for these kind of bookings? Ausgolf?

Thanks all.

Hi AYM,

I did Mission Hills and I dont think you can beat it. You have to contact Sheri at AYM golf tours, she does a fantastic job and escorts most of the tours as an organiser/guide/interpreter

when are you looking at going.

You could call a friend of mine from Get Away golf he will do a good deal for you. Let me know if you want his number.

We are doing a big event in Bali in August next year if anyone is interested.

Other places you could look:
Bintan in Indonesia
Pattaya in Thailand
Phuket in Thailand

Don't bother:
KL in Malaysia
Singapore
Batam in Indonesia

Is weather a concern in Thailand? ie. too freaking hot?

When are you going? I have played in Phuket in July and November, on courses that require walking (caddie pushes the buggy), and I thought it was no hotter than summer golf in Qld.

If the place you want to go is closer to the equator than where you live, then its hotter!

FWIW indonesia and Singapore is about the same as Darwin. So if you dont like bloody hot i suggest going further north. I think Thailand weather is quite pleasant though.

A mate of mine just got back from Thailand (Pattaya I think), went on a golf tour but not sure who it was with. He said he loved it, but I'm not sure if he was talking about massages or the golf. I know what I was more interested in hearing about.

Ping pong was pretty popular when I was in Pattaya. That was a while ago though, it must have changed.
