Just looking to see if there is any interest at this stage. I have got 3 Mac Pro towers, model numbers/ full specs to be confirmed once I've booted them all up (these belong to my secondary employer and are now surplus to needs). All are functional except there are some faulty RAM sticks that need to be identified and weeded out (by process of elimination). At this stage, no monitors or peripherals will be included. To get an idea of what we're looking at, check here (http://store.apple.com/au/browse/home/shop_mac/family/mac_pro).

Ive quit my job and starting a new business from home.... was just thinking i need a decent computer. I could be keen for one of those bad-boys... but could you weed out the bad ram?? I dont even know what that means. And what sort of cash are we talking here?

Yes, I'll be weeding out the RAM. I don't know what they're worth until I know what the specs are, but I hope to have an idea in the next few days.

Bump. I had to shift them into a cupboard when we got the floors professionally cleaned and forgot all about them until today. I'll pull them out & sort out the RAM this week.

In case you are worried that there might not be any interest, I think I might know somebody who might be interested. Please send detailed brochure (glossy) to my home address.

Apologies to all for the delays. I have finally got it all sorted. There was more bad RAM than I realised so it took longer to sort through.

Details follow:

Mac Pro 1
Processor: 2 x 3.2GHz Quad-core Intel Xeon (Harpertown)
RAM: 4GB 800MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM (2 x 2GB)
Video: ATI Radeon X1900 XT 512MB
Operating System: Mac OSX 10.7.5 Lion
Storage: 2.75TB (2 x 1TB + 1 x 750GB + 1 spare bay)

Additional: 2 x eSATA PCIe ports

Notes:
1 x RAM card appears to have failed. Still 2 spare slots on the other.
Some minor scuffs to the case (cosmetic only)

I'm still to research what they might be worth, but in the meantime feel free to ask any questions or even make offers.
