He will be fine through pay pal, I've had the exact same thing happen with an scotty cameron, bought it and payed straight away 3 days later seen it relisted, told PayPal and got refunded.
Even had the other way someone filed a complaint with me saying they never received it, sent PayPal receipt of postage and it was cancelled, they look after you pretty well.

If indeed this member is trying to defraud another member what would you propose? best case would be that this member is misunderstood and that the payment was missed somehow and he honours his side of the deal or refund and we all move on.
