Just to see what might be out there in Ozgolf land...

I'm looking to shaft up some V-steels (3 & 5) wood that I am in the process of acquiring.

I have an option to get a 5 wood with Aldila Voodoo SVS 7 complete so, if I could find another SVS 7 in Stiff to put in the 3 wood that might be an option.

After a matching pair of strong stiff or soft x shafts, .350 tip would be good but, .335 shimmed will work too

Not looking for latest state of the art shafts as I am trying to keep the cost of this experiment down as low as possible but, if someone wants to let me have to Matrix 7M3s cheap that would be cool too:mrgreen:

Please let me know what you have out there

I have an Adams Pro Black Proto with KBS Stepless 5.5 if someone were interested in a trade

Cheers OC

I have the proforce gold 65 in my 5 wood VSteel and it's the best club in my bag. You can pick up the new versions of these from Golfworks for about $30 each.

I saw that, how do you find it weight wise? I think it might be a little light for me

I used to have a Proforce Gold Tour 75 in a Titleist 904 head that was awesome but, I moved that on:mrgreen:

I have a pair of Excalibur shafts.
1x Xcalibur Tour FW - Stiff http://www.golfworks.com/product.asp_Q_pn_E_AS0025

T (http://www.golfworks.com/product.asp_Q_pn_E_AS0021)hese do play stiff, so would be a soft X. Both are brand new, still in plastic. I got 3 out, and just couldn't find the love, as they are too stiff for me.

Could do both for $60 pp with a couple of shims thrown in. If I can get them packed for under 500g, shipping would max $15 registered I assume.

Cheers,
Ben

I think it's fine, but I don't really like heavy and overly stiff shafts (no homo). I also think the VSteel head is easier to hit than the 904, but that could just be personal preference.
