Hi Guys :)

Seems I will have some spare cash in July and I want to get myself a RM4/CFT4 to replace my 3 irons.

I had tried RM/RM FW a few times but never have a chance on CFT, has anyone use both? Can you give me some comment on the difference in between?

andylo, I am hoping to try both at the same time soon. It depends on whether the driving range down here in Canberra has both clubs as demos. They certainly sell both in the pro shop.

Andylo, wouldn't a RM #3 be a better replacement for your 3 iron :?

that's what i'm using at the moment and it seems to be working fine :)

jarro, from what I have read the RMs play one longer than their number. Unlike the Hogan Hybrids.
So yours theoretically would play like a 2 iron.

Oh shite, listen to me, I sound like a ho.

jarro - the RM3 is defn not a replacement for the 3 iron...
not in my case anyway...

interestingly, I've dropped my 3 iron out of the bag, brought in my 2 iron X12PS (after some shaft shortening), and it's working okay for me. the gap btw my RM and 3 iron was too much for my liking...

also prefer the option of a high and a low ball flight...
I'm weird!

I think this is the biggest thing to take into account, these rescues are very hard to keep under the wind. I have just put the 14* RM TP in the bag, with an S400 steel, because of the shaft the flight is boring. I also have a 17* component rescue (synchron) but with a regular steel shaft, the flight is high but still long.

well in my case my #3 RM doesn't go THAT much further than my 3 iron did :?

.. but it sure goes lots higher and lands lots softer 8)

i only have a reg shaft in it, maybe i need to go up a notch to a stiff :?

I got no idea what an RM3 is, but isnt a CFT something thats screwing up the ozone layer?

I've actually heard that the hogan hybrids are longer than the rm's in the same loft because the hogans have a titanium face.

Only way to know is to hit them both side by side.

Or try one of the rescue fairway's, they were sweet. I wanna try the hogan first, but I'm after a 5 wood distance club, and I'd take the rescue fairway 5 over the rm tp's I demoed. It was stupid easy to hit.

Hogan Hybrid 3: 21°
RM 4: 22°

I'll correct myself for ya andy  . I've heard the hogan's are longer than the rm's in a 'similar' loft because they have a titanium face.

That better :P

Wasn't correcting you, goughy? Don't get so defensive. :P I understood your point.
I was just showing the people that the CFT3 and RM4 correlate, not the RM3.

I just think the topic got lost andy.

Just not enough people who have had the chance to hit them both, especially the hogan. They didn't even have tham at the demo day I went to. Most dissapointed.
