great start by O'Hern .. 8 under par , John Senden and Robert Allenby 3 shots back at 5 under.

Course looks fantastic, but will the fickle Victorian weather behave itself for the 4 days :P ... let's hope so 8)

Forecast is Fri - great, Sat - maybe ioffy, Sunday - beautiful. Don't you worry Jarro - we won't have a repeat of the beautiful weather they had at Coolum.
Hope to get there on Saturday.

say, can someone explain the dodo ad....unless he asked for the stick to be removed before he drove it, and assuming the dodo mascot is his caddy....isn't that a 2 stroke penalty? :D

so it's an eagle...right?

How bout this Bubba Watson, 555m par 5 14th he hits driver 6 iron on day three then driver 4 iron today   that is just awsome!!!

He also is the only bloke I know of that hits driver down to 7 iron with a fade and then draws his 8 iron down to SW  :smt017 but hey it works for him 8)

Great day's play so far. As I've said before, I'm not really a golf watcher, but I can't drag myself away from the TV ATM.
Bubba is carving it up, and looks like he could get in the way of a Allenby/O'Hern playoff.

Jarro

left himself a nice little tester for par on 17 though

Jinx. He missed the putt, and left the door open for Allenby.
O'Hern is choking.

how about Sendens 314 meter drive down the 18th

i'd love to see Ohern win ..... he's due, but i agree, he's choking badly

Bubba in the valley of sin, bloody hard U&D from there.
Same for Allenby on 17.

Stuff O'Hern! Go Allenby!
Some tough shots left.

How annoying is some of the camerawork? A shot is missing the green, and they cut to a shot of the centre of the green.

Can Allenby pull off another Coolum 18th :?:
Great U&D from Bubba

Allenby has left himself a little work to do with the putter, but you'd have to back him to send it to a playoff (if he doesn't sink it).

Yep camera man didn't need zoom lense on that shot
I hope Allenby can take this form into next year and win something big, maybe even a major 8)

the Open, PGA and Masters - thats the Grand Slam for Allenby!

Nothing else for him to do now, he might as well retire.

I do feel kinda bad for Nick O'Hern, but I won't hurrying to put my money on him to win anything ever. Allenby has played to win the last 3 weeks. His final hole last week was something that every aspiring pro should burn into their brains. When a tournament is there to be won, play the shot to win it.

And I bet he'd trade them all in for a major.

Merry Xmas Mr Allenby. He got handed that one yesterday. O'Hern had that tournament for the taking and just couldn't get it done. Bubba just hit a poor first putt, but really shouldn't have missed the comebacker. No disrespect to Allenby, though, he played great for a solid 3 weeks, and I'd love to see him take that confidence and form into next year (especially at Augusta).

What a wonderful golf tournament - I really enjoyed watchin Allenby take out the triple, even though I have never been a huge fan of his.

I felt bad for Nick O'Hern though - he just can't seem to push through and get the job done.... :(

Is it just me, or was the coverage for this tournament better than the last two (ie, we got to hear more from the players instead of listening to JN maundering on....) :? It would be nice if Channel 7 kept up that sort of coverage!

It was definitely better than what I saw of the Australian Open.
