Or you shooting 72 makes you a 7 marker.
JC's 4 shot start on Chorn on his home course and loosing was disappoint, but taking his and Chorn's $25 each in the Cart Challenge made up for it.

He was going well until he was told that he was leading by 3.
After hearing of my 3 shot lead while standing on the 13th tee box, I promptly skyed my tee shot left into the cack. Provisional was good and walked away with a 5.
Finishing with wipes on 17 and 18 didn't do me any favours. Even managed to throw in a shanked wedge on 18 just for good measure.

Many thanks to everyone in WA for making us feel so welcome and providing us with a sensational week.
In particular I want to thank IDgolfguy, hocko, and TourFit for their generous offers of help. Great stuff by Shadesy and Simmsy for the job of running the whole shebang. I can only imagine what it is like dealing with the dribblers over here for the whole year so I take my hat off to you.
For the guys I played with (no homo) over the last 4 days I had a ball and enjoyed every minute of it, and thought the sledging amongst the entire fraternity was just right.
And Canuck - you are my bitch.

Thanks to the WAnkers for their hospitality.
Shadesy and Simmsy, did another fantastic job at putting the Champs on.
Thanks to Hocko, Shadesy and Vic for playing transport and accommodation hosts.
To Lefty and sms, well done on winning the NC2, special effort by sms to make JC his biatch considering JC was smashing his 3 wood past Chorn’s driver all day.
Did my best to make it a 3 nil result in the NC2 but Hocko wasn’t the chopper that all his WAnker mates had been talking him up as. (Although Lefty did win the helicopter/snake killing/taking drops from nowhere the fairway places over the weekend).
At least being Hocko’s partner in the Friday Cart Challenge had me on the winning side of taking Chorns and JC’s cashola.
Accommodation and entertainment was spot on, one correction for when Chorn turns up next year, either don’t let him have the Vindaloo or make sure there is a quality first class BP servo nearby.
Thanks to the guys I was grouped with over the two days – small place Australia, TWM was a member of Novatel Palmcove back in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. IDG, might take up your lead of one handed putting after my Saturdays multiple 3 jack efforts.
He may cop a hiding from you guys, but thanks to TourFit for the chauffer services and the hospitality before taking the Easties to the airport last night, Chorn though was a little disappoint that he didn’t get a chance to get some Carnoustie stories.

Congrats to NK for blitzing the field and really glad you made it. Congrats to hock, JC and G.K as well and my ol mate Lefty for winning the best gross.
For those who don't know simmsy probably did half the work this year with my work pressures being enormous and I didnt thank him yesterday. (I did personally on Friday night ;-)) but without his help and some cameos from JC it would not have gone as smoothly as it did. I was surpriSed as anyone. Thanks gents.
Basically I had soooooo much fun. Can't describe how many good stories came out of the weekend... And if I sledged you... Means I like you :-) so I'm not sorry.
Thanks to SMS, The Bandit and Lefty for making the trip. The champs are something else with you guys from the east here and hope we can get more next year.
To the new guys, Mububban, Shorty (gotta stay next year... Room with Tommyg), G.k and my mate Juffie (Jackson) thanks for coming down, hope you enjoyed the weekend and continue to come each year. Thanks to Jackson for taking my 2 hours of bashing his golf game relentlessly on Saturday night. And thanks Mubabban for agreeing to play me off 21 when clearly that was 6 shots to many. Well done to shorty for taking the shirts on both days with good grace and he sense of fun it was meant to.
As for my title defence being 2 under through two holes on Saturday and then 4 pars to start Sunday, I fell away pretty quickly... But had a great time regardless. Thanks to my playing partners and watching Hocko have it on a strong from the tee all weekend was amazing... His edge game probably cost him the champs.. Bad luck mate.
Kudos to id for the Saturday arvo idea to get everyone together when it was hosing it down.
I'm hanging up my organising boots this year. I am happy to lend any advice to anyone who puts there hand up, but I cannot find the time with what's going in to find the time next year. I'll be there though.
Gotta go, sorry if I missed everyone but everyone who came made it a fantastic weekend. In still laughing.

Big thanks to Shadesy and Simmsy, along with anyone else who gave a hand in organising the weekend. All the groups I played in were great. It was particularly good watching some of the ball striking from the likes of SMS, Lefty NK and JC. Congrats to NK for the overall win and all other prize getters. Had a top weekend and I'm already looking forward to next year. Although I may need to blow out a couple of shots for a chance at victory. Or I could just learn to get out of bunkers! Had 3 up and downs from bunkers on Sunday. Pity 2 of them required 3 attempts for me to get out of the sand. JC was not happy with me taking 3 shots to get out of the bunker at the back of the 9th green and still walking away with 6/1.
Some highlights for me were being in a group with Shorty on Friday and Saturday. The guy was a great laugh to have around. I particularly liked your self-sledging Shorty and your Dufnering on Saturday was legendary.
While maybe not so much of a highlight, becoming Simmsy's bunny by losing to him in Friday's match play. I don't know if I can wait another 12 months to get this one back on you Simmsy!
Finishing in 4th place along with a NTP on Friday and Sunday was a good result in my books!

Yes, I tried that on the 4th tee yesterday.

Did I slut on 8?
I was technically playing my 3rd (and would've been 5th) from behind the reds.

That is a very good question.
I was too scared to check after I yelled "shanks are funny" and hock's group was cheering from the 9th tee. I couldn't tell who you wanted to kill first.
I know they definitely moved up in the rankings when they cheered the second splash.

Sunday was the most fun I've had playing golf in a long time. Rubin and Shorty had me in stitches the whole time. Shorty's comments are unprintable, but Rubin contributed some gems that are worth sharing.
-------
Rubin "I've played Meadow Springs heaps, it's basically my home track".
Ashes "So what distance are the white markers?"
Rubin "100m. You're about 120m out from there".
After I go nowhere near reaching the green with an 8 iron, Rubin suggests the whites must be 150m, not 100m.
------
Rubin "It's about 260m carry over that bunker if you want to take that line"
As anyone who has played golf with me knows, I'd struggle to carry 180m on a good day.
-------
I tried out Rubins 3 wood/nunchuck combo. Hit it pretty well but never got it more than 1m off the ground.
Rubin "You probably need a higher launching head".
No shit.
--------
Shorty asks if there's any trouble near the green on the 12th.
Rubin (remembering this is virtually his home track) "Nah mate, no bunkers or anything around that green".
Shorty hits a good shot, just missing the green. Walks up to discover his ball, you guessed it, in a greenside bunker.
---------
Rubin "Driver is definitely the play on this hole".
After hitting my driver into the shit, I watch as Rubin pulls out his hybrid..

But the middle of the fairway was a great call that can't be disputed.

I wouldn't know, I only found the middle of the fairway once, and that was on the first where it was wasted by Rubin telling me I was 55m closer to the hole than I actually was.

I'll give u the first - my mistake on that one, but I have never used the course markers as I've had the range finder.
The hybrid u missed a few comments prior and afterwards, but as I said to Shaun - don't blame me for hitting the ball like crap (and as u striped your provi up the middle, it turns out it was the play for you).

You abused yourself relentlessly the rest of the way.

Yea I guess, I only wore mine for 5 minutes each day. Just long enough to change out of them and then into the PRIDE and MAXIPAD ones.
