Two of our favourite members are in the midst of a form slump, and they need our help. But first, a bit of background:

In Cairns, the back packing capital of the world, they do things a bit differently. The play golf with a mercy rule. Where this was born from I am unsure. It is only played on a Wednesday, when normal folk should be at work. The rule is, if you and your playing partner's stableford score does not exceed 29 points combined after 9 holes, you go back to work. It is known as the 30 point rule.

Haysey & Solarman have been playing this rule for quite sometime now... and an alarming trend is beginning to occur of late. They have been back to work before morning tea on most Wednesdays. Today after 9 holes they had a combined score of just 20 points. Bob owed Haysey a jug before they pub had even closed from last night.

What advice can we as a collective offer the perennial NAGA and ozgolf's newest marathon man to help get them out of this slump?

Try a multiplier instead of an aggregate?

Might be time to change insect spray. Can't think of anything else - sorry Haysey, Bob.

Dave_1 is on holdiays in Cairns at the moment and has his clubs with him - maybe they should catch up with him and see if he has any advice?

No good, there's a lot of wipes happening so 2 or 3 X 0 still ='s 0.

I think he might have been the bloke playing behind us this morning.

He wouldn't play through because we were to good and he didn't want to embarrass himself. Obviously nuts!

If you play with a golfer who are not better than you, it doesn't take long that your own game drops down to their level.

My advice is for Solarman to find another golfer to play with.

Did this form slump start when the Milkman signed with them?

Smashed a drive on a par 5
looked down the fairway
grabbed my 3 wood
topped it so bad I nearly hit my nose
then bashed it 240 down the fairway
FFS still laughing even if it was a 7

Invite Courty and make it a threesome. Still no guarantee they won't be back at work by morning tea, of course.

I am thinking the boys should wear golfing attire as opposed to hi-vis?

Exact opposite. With Courty, they won't get to the 9th tee before morning tea.

ps. We need some new video of Solarman playing the 8th.

A few more NCR's on your Golflink and you won't have any option but to take up another sport. ;)

Don't think so, but the NAGA/ Shanks/ Jugs triple crown is in real danger next Feb.

Haysey should put the weight back on; clearly the weight loss is affecting his game!

Bob, well.... he should take up lawn bowls; I'm not sure he had any ability to start with so, nothing readily apparent to me....

Dave1 had 28 points at Cairns on Saturday. Would Solarman or Haysey have beaten that?

Tim didn't play... I think the rest of them went up the hill to check on Mike and NK.

Yeah, Bob & I went up the hill while Haysey stayed at home and cried in his huge pillow. We could could hear the Waaambulance from Mareeba. :lol:Cairns would have been a boghole after the rain. Even the head pro from Cairns played at Mareeba.

I think part of the problem is that they've stopped buying new clubs every 6 months.

First time I met Haysey I copped it about how old my clubs were at the time. Won't be long before his are the same age ;)

And Bob, well lets face it. He couldn't hit the side of a barn from 3 feet with a shovel full of runny cow shit at times.

I played 9 holes with Haysey this morning. The subject of swing videos came up briefly. I suggested he'd have more success sending his swing to Funniest Home Videos than a swing coach.
