I thought these would be out by now. I am doing a Titleist fitting on June 1 and was hoping to hit one and compare to my Mizuno MP Fli-Hi 2 iron.

the boys at my proshop said they hit one last week, so the rep might have them to fit??

they are in fitting carts, im overseas with work but when i called to to preorder they had just showed up. if you are keen, and it isnt a titleist only demo day, i would call so they can get onto the rep and make sure they get them in. i got the 2 iron to use as a driving iron, assume it will be good but if not ill just sell it on and wont lose a whole lot.

works out to be around 229AUD shipped from GSE, however when I lived in Ireland they were notoriously slow to ship orders

I paid that too, but the titleist rep told me retail was 289. Shipped from the states is 240 so not to bad really

I gave one of these a hit on the weekend. Mainly just wanted to compare it to me Mizuno Fli-Hi 2 iron. It certainly looks better than the Mizuno. It is much more compact and clean. It is still much bigger than a MB but overall it is a very nice looking club for what it is.

Off the face it feels a bit "clickier" than my Mizuno. The Mizuno just feels a bit softer and when it comes off the middle it barely feels like you hit it. The Titleist felt good as well, just a bit more solid. As for performance, I was able to hit my Mizuno a bit more consistently, probably just because I am used to it. The surprising thing was how much further I was hitting the Mizuno. On good strikes, I would say I was hitting the Mizzie about 10 - 15m further than the Titleist.

So for now I think I will stick with my Fli-Hi.

Hit the 3i tonight (Nudgee's) and all I can say is WOW.

I have not like any driving iron I have tried yet (all of Nudgee's failed purchases).

The 712u is actually great. It is like a super easy to hit 3 iron. It looks good, it feels good and I was just bombing it.

Me likey lots.

Agree - loooove it - many failed experiments in driving iron department. May have hit jackpot here, one or two more rounds and may get a 2 iron as well.

Yeah selling it or looking for a trade for 3. Hit it to close to my fairway, mistake in initial purchase need 3 now, higher loft less to close gap
