Gents (and Ladies), I was browsing at the local Drummond Golf store and thought I'd have a crack with a few fairway woods. I've been using a TM 500 series 3 wood for about 6 years; it's pretty much been my go to club when I'm having an off day with the big dog. Anyway, I'd heard some good reports about the Cally X-Hot Pro, so I got on the launch monitor and gave it a belt. I don't know whether or not these things are tricked up, but it's telling me I'm getting an average 275 yards out of this thing. I'm thinking geez this is alright. Anyway, I traded the paint stirrer in and bought the 13.5 degree and headed down the range and lo and behold, I'm smoking this thing 250. I can't believe how hard this thing goes. Has anyone else had a similar experience (not with Drummond's LM!) but with the X-Hot?

I have the 17degree with a whiteboard 73x and smoke it.
Trackman has it going 270 mts plus on course about 250 they come off the face so quick and easy it's unbelievable

TheNuclearOne loves his...been talking about it in his WITB thread over the past few days. Plus it seems to have had a good rap elsewhere.

There's a 13.5 with the PX Velocity 6.5 at my local Drummond and given the 30 day promo Callaway are offering (if it doesn't amaze you send it back for your money back) I'm very tempted to hand over some coin for it.

The X Hot Pro rocks. They've flown under the radar in here but not over the U.S. A max COR cup face more than covers any distance needs and the sole design, head size, and shape make it a truly great club off the deck. Likes a low peg off the tee.

Go for it Kristian. I'm very glad I did. I've got the 6.0 Velocity shaft in mine and it's perfect. Launch monitor said my swing speed was averaging at 102 mph. Plays very much like the Aldila NV shaft in my TM 3 wood.

Don't you guys find it goes too close the your driver?? You're probably right Mr Bluu, but I think it's a case of having a 'go to' club which is a little more forgiving than the driver. This is probably no more evident than 18 and 10 at Augusta, where the pros go one or the other depending on how they're hitting them on the day. When I'm on song with the driver, I only use 3 when I'm trying to reach a par 5 in two, or where there's a dog leg or trouble if you snot your driver.

My mate moved on from the RBZ tour to one of these in 3 wood, he loves it. He just bought the 5 wood too...
