I can`t remember seeing greens that looked this bad on the PGA tour. Don`t know if they play that bad as there has been very little commentary.

There is a video clip of Sergio using a wedge for a 6 foot putt on one hole, which he canned. Apparently the green surface was very bad just in front of his ball, so he chipped it over the spot.

About time these soft golfers played on normal greens If you played on that rubbish every week you would be calling for the greenkeeper's head.

We should start a thread where everyone sends in a clip trying to recreate Sergio's 'putt'

Speak for yourself! I couldnt care less about the golf course condition, I am just happy to be out there, there is always someone playing elsewhere on something worse on their best day.

They said the other day that they got very unexpected freezing weather and the greens did not come back from this, otherwise they would have been mint.

Isn't it they are getting it ready for the US open on 2015?

Edit: USPGA 2017

Interesting comments on Golf Channel.

What a stellar performance. I wish this young man all the best in his career.

I learned that this was Phil's tournament to win and he could not get it done. Hope Mr. Ernst has many more wins on tour.

I agree with the first comment/thought and would have the second as well until Ernst went Jesus Nut with Feherty.

Why would that bother you?

Because I'm not a Jesus nut or a believer in them sharing their faith (I understand they feel it is their duty.). I would feel exactly the same if someone won and thanked the hummer Angela Morris gave them in 10th grade. Neither is any of my business nor do I care to hear about it.

Took the joy right out of it.
Although JC was a nice guy I hear.

Yet poor Billy Baker can't see how much of a hypocrite he is being. In any case I'd like to personally thank Billy for spreading the good news.

Might be? But I definitely heard the commentators saying that the unexpected low temperatures was the cause of the greens not being 100%.

I would have said the greens were about 30%. They certainly looked close to dead!

They mentioned on the day 1 commentary that all the greens were due to be ripped up and replaced on the Monday anyways....

Looks like you need divine intervention to putt well on those greens.
