Should you grip every club the same way. Eg driver woods irons.

Yes. Except the putter, where you anchor one.hand to your chest.

Yes, it is important to grip the club... Not sure how you would hit the ball if you didn't grip the club :-)

Tour Wraps on woods and hybrids.
Tour Velvet on irons and wedges.
VRad on the putter.

ps. But I hold them all the same (Vardon/overlap), including the putter.

I use a neutral grip on irons, but a strong grip for woods/driver.

Probably why I'm a chopper.

Ok now I'm getting somewhere, I just didn't know how to explain myself.

Shorty,

I use the same grip (neutral) for all clubs except my putter; whilst I play off single figures I am still a chopper...

I did play around with some grip changes on my driver to try and slice proof it... it didn't work as my issue is tempo & transition so, not grip related & the grip really didn't have any positive effect. Actually, it had a negative effect on good swings as it shut the face down way too much & caused pull hooks

Hey outcast,
I tried a stronger grip yesterday and the hits were a bit more consistent, in saying that I only used an 8i. I'm playing Saturday and Sunday so I'm going to try this for weekend. That is unless the wheels fall off completely, then ill just hack my way around like I usually do
