Hello all,

So I made the mistake of letting a mate have a swing with my PW the other day on the course and for some unknown reason he let go of the club. It hit a tree and on impact to the ground it snapped in half about 4 inches below the grip.
Now I'm only new to the art of golf and have no idea on how to fix this or what to fix it with and need your help.
The club is a Nike Slingshot 2010 PW and I can't seem to find any to buy another one on the internet. Can I get this re-shafted or Is this a write off and I need a different wedge? If I can get it re-shafted can I get a original Nike one or will it be better to go with a different one? If I can get it re-shafted what shaft would you suggest for me? If it means anything I am just learning golf and don't have a handicap.

Thanks in Advance
Andrew

Buy a PW that matches your wedges?

Hi Andrew,

you can get it replaced (do you know what shaft is in it now?), or you could buy another wedge to replace it. Both are valid options. Where are you located?

Send sti83 a PM. He has a set of Slingshot clubs not being used. :)

Graphite or steel?

Andrew, what does it say on the shaft band of the club?

I'm located in Sydney. I tried to find the exact same wedge that matches the rest of my irons but couldn't find it as they don't make it anymore i think.

By shaft band i assume you mean
" True Temper Quality Finest" or maybe "uniflex"

I think steel.

Sorry I just bought them and have no idea about them.

Just get a golf shop to whack another shaft in shouldn't cost that much.

Golfmart may help, as they may still import Nike (or they did 7 years ago).

Here's a chart of major OEM shafts and MPF values (if looking for a replacement) ...

Golfmart are still selling Nike clubs. But I'd pm Virge first, he should be able to find a similar shaft for you.

Ask Lefty what to do, he has had heaps of busted wedges.

Keep spare shafts in reserve. Or buy a new wedge. They're cheaper than getting a replacement shaft by a pro shop in some cases.

Very similar writing styles. I'm surprised it took people this long to figure it out...
