Depends on the length of the par 3s and the value of the NTP prizes.

Otherwise ... 4w, 6i, gap wedge, putter

Me and my mates used to do this every 4 ball at our club I found it was best for me to have my 17deg hybrid 7i gap wedge and putter

I hit 3 wood that bad, there would be no point. I figure with driver, I can pretty safely put myself 7iron or wedge away for most greens. Driver, 7 ,7 will get you home on the par 5's or driver, 7, wedge on the short one.

Happy days.

200m club, 150m club, 100m and in club

4 wood, 8 iron, SW Putter

If i hit a my 3 wood the way you hit 4 wood it would be no contest.

I like that.... We will be doing that next 4ball. Good idea.

I played in one of these a little while ago, but it was only 3 clubs.

None of us carried putters and didn't need them - we putted with driver (however it was an ambrose so we always had a few shots at it - if yours is individual it may be different). I think I carried driver, 7 iron, 9 iron (but then I can hit driver off the deck... sometimes).

If I was playing on my own and had to make every putt I think I'd carry putter, and probably 3 wood, 6 iron, wedge - something like that anyway.

I played in one recently & used,
5 Wood
7 Iron
52* Wedge
Putter

If I did it again I'd swap 52* for 56* Wedge as I found some bunkers & had some trouble getting out.

It depends on the course... at my home club I'd go:

Hybrid
7 iron (knock yourself out with the jokes )
Gap wedge
Putter

My home club (not much bunkering)...

3H, 6i, 9i, putter.

We had one of these days last year - but it was 3 clubs - no putters allowed. So I had the above without the putter. Off the white tees.

Scored 34 points...21 on the back FFS!

Surely the champ (el Ferreto) would be in his element in one of these events. He could game

1 iron
Putter
Ball Retriever
A higher lofted putter

I'm assuming Courty would have vanity knee pads for such an occasion.

Fine, wouldn't you dirty your amaranth, Carmine, cerise, coral, fuchsia, magenta, mauve, puce, rose, or ruby pants?

I play on a short course, so dropping the driver wouldn't be an issue. The hybrid is more likely to keep it in play.

The putter and gap wedge has to be in, as the place to score is around the greens.

I'd take a 6 iron to fill the gap.

2 hybrid
6I
50* wedge

Depends on the course as mentioned, at my local there are a lot of bunkers that I can comfortably carry with a driver but really struggle with a 3 wood so there's a definite advantage to carrying a driver or very strong 3 wood. I'd go...

13* 3 wood
5 iron
9 iron
putter

3 wood for off the majority of the tees and 2nd's into par 5's, can hood the 5 iron and hit a low scuttling draw that runs out close to normal 3 iron distance, can also hit a high cut that will knock a bit of distance off. Likewise with the 9 iron and as long as you don't short side yourself most shots around the green can be handled with a bit of imagination.
