Looking for some feedback/thoughts on this shaft.

Haven't been able to find a real lot of info on it.

Thanks in advance.

What?

Are you asking how it plays, or how the ball comes off it, shanky?

Pretty sure the Red is one of the higher launching, if not the highest launch of that series. I know I had a Green and it was the lowest launch. Also the whiteboard is a very low launch, low torque shaft, so would imagine they play nothing like each other.

I had a Red 79S in a Ping I15 3 wood and didn't rate it.

Xcon7 or Xcon 7.1?

I have the 69s in my driver and it gives a high launching flight. Got to get another to put in my backup driver too.

Now I'm scratching my head.
The chart lists it as a low launch, low mid spinning shaft.

xcon7

I haven't played the 69 but the 79 is a very low launching shaft, I believe lower than that chart would indicate. It also plays very stiff to flex in my experience. It's a very nice shaft for the high launch/high spin player but if you are a low ball hitter as it is, forget it IMO.

xcon7

That's the red Matrix, not the TM painted RBZ?

Copied this off golfwrx. Disregard my drivel above.

They are an excellent series of shafts. Like everyone has said, all except for the Blue are lowish spin, and the Green will play most like the WB but the Red isn't far behind. The only real difference between the two is that the Red is counterbalanced and the Green isn't, while they both fly low-mid.

Blue - High launch, mid spin
Black - High initial launch but very penetrating, low spin
Red - Low-mid launch and spin
Green - Low-mid launch and spin

UST brand the Green medium launch and the Red medium-high. Probably close to what i experienced.

My son had a Green 75S in a Ping I15. That was a very stiff shaft with low flight.

Definitely not what I experienced, compared to the Whiteboard I'd say the Axiv Red is the lower launching of the 2 in comparable flex, albeit slightly. The UST product guide that I've seen lists Red as the lowest launching of all.

Yeah i sold you that shaft, hmmm whole club from memory. I found my two Greens mid/mid. The i15 is extremely low launching.

Yes the red one. I would love to swap it for another tour red.

Should go from lowest to highest:
Green, Red, Black, Blue...

It's interesting the difference in opinions, and even UST contradicts itself. I have a Red 79X and Whiteboard 73X with identical tipping. Will have a blast on the LM later this afternoon and see what numbers they throw up. Not entirely apples for apples but should be close enough for comparative purposes.

Ok, hit a dozen of each, took the average of the 6 best. Both tipped 1", RBZ Tour head 9*.

Axiv Red 115.1 169.9 11.8 2718
WB 115.6 170.4 11.6 2671

Not much of a sample size I know but pretty much identical numbers (for me at least, YMMV).

The Red 79 is a bit stiffer right at the tip end than the 69. The extra weight also brings things down a bit for most people.

Quite liked the Red 79 but the 69 didn't do it for me. The big thing with these is that they are counter balanced and one may or may not go for it. In the heavier weights like the 79 i don't mind it.

They are counterbalanced so the 79 prob deosnt "feel" that heavy?

Exactly.

I really dig the shaft.
Have had it in a number of drivers over the years.
L.L if you can find a cheap pull, would be a worthwhile experiment.

I love it when you do some Googles research on a shaft you're looking at and after a few hits from eBay, the first page with actual advice on said shaft is on OzGolf page:).
Titleist - or anyone else - have you used an Axivcore Tour Red 69 Stiff in an SLDR head before? If so, any feedback you could kindly give me ASAP before I potentially grab one off MrBluu? Cheers.

Just bought a pull from the bay, will have it in a sldr/r1 sleeve as soon as.
You can come round and try it if you like before you buy one?
Ive used it with great success in an R11, and 910, prob a few other heads?

Thanks mate. Bluu is on the burst, Bonnyrigg-styles though, so gotta make a move on it pronto. I'll probably just grab it off him, then chase up a tip. Just after something that's a little higher launching to offset the low launch of the SLDR. I'm looking to stockpile a few shaft options for the SLDR and go from there.
