Hi all, I am currently playing Adams Idea Pro A12 irons with the black nickel KBS Tour stiff shafts. I am 48 years old and currently off 13. I just find that I am too inconsistent with my irons and am starting the process of finding a more forgiving set of irons.
I know you will all say go and hit them but just looking for some feedback on what you play and how they have helped or not?
Research so far is pushing me towards JPX 800, Burner 2.0, Rocketballz, Ping G20 and Callaway Razr X or Blacks.
I will also be trying to sell my Adams irons if anyone is interested so make me an offer.

Cheers

Try Adams cb2 or cb3 if u want to stay in the Adams camp. Cb2 can be had pretty cheap and are very good iron.

I have still to find a "players" iron model that is more forgiving than the AP2s.

48yo = spring chicken.

Have a look at Cobra irons, if you want forgiveness. (I keep my vanity handicap with a set of S3 Max, but there are some orange cavity ones, if you want something newer.)

The JPX line gets good things said about it but there are just so many to choose from !

Pop over to mygolfspy & use the club review tool to sift through the best of what they have reviewed,which is pretty much every club you can think of.

CB2 is the ducks. I'm off 15 and find it plenty forgiving but still provides enough feel and feedback. Best club I've hit for my ability.

MAKE SURE YOU GET FITTED FOR CORRECT LOFT & LIES!!!

If you don't, just letting you know that they don't bend much at all.

Grabbed a set of Callaway Razr X irons from the local Drummond store to have a hit with this weekend. Now just need the rain to stay away so that I can have a hit. If I like I buy if not just clean them and take them back. Pretty good deal.
