I'm heading down to Newcastle for a wedding this weekend, and am looking to bring the sticks down for a round.

Would be keen to catch up with some OzGolfers if any are up for a bash.

Happy to defer to local opinion re: choice of course.

Cheers,

Tim

Newcastle itself is a great course and well worth playing - may consider driving from western Sydney just to play it again

are you thinking of playing the sat or sun?

The Sun. Fly in Sat morning for a Sat PM wedding...

I might be available on the Sunday to host some people. We have a bye in pennants on that day!

I'd head up on the Sunday if I could get a lift with Dangals and you could get us on at Newcastle. Is PAC Dunes or Belmont really worth a several hour drive?

Matty,

I will ring in the next few days and suss it out for two groups.

Alternatively, is there somewhere that the Sydney siders would play between Syd and Newwy?

The Springs

Magenta Shores or Kooindah?

You guys will know better than I...but if a few of you can reach a consensus, I'm happy to travel.

Newcastle would probably be preferred over the Springs as it isn't really that much further to drive from where I am.

Magenta is great but I think they have gone private again and I think you can only play with a member or on an open day.

Haven’t played Kooindah so cannot comment but happy to play there if that is the consensus.

I'll be keen for pacific dunes, koonidah, Belmont and Newcastle. Happy to car pool as well.

Timah, if you're in Newcastle, play a course in Newcastle...there are heaps close by that are worth the effort. You will be at least an hour from Magenta or Kooindah. Hour twenty to The Springs...which I think is meh.

Where are you staying?

Newcastle would be the pick, but would be a lot better if MT could host you and show you the way to play it.

Pacific Dunes or Belmont would be next. Very different styles, but both good.

There are also lots of worthwhile local tracks that would be ok as well.

I may be available for a game, but I can't commit this far out. Happy to help organise something though...I live 5 minutes from Pacific Dunes.

I have totally ****ed up the dates here.

For some reason I thought it was this Sunday?

Anyway, I will have pennants on that day and still wont be able to make it. Sorry.

Thanks guys.

Haystacks, we're staying with family at Clarence Town.

Happy to stick with Newcastle. Just keen to try and get a few of us. Visitors are fine for the Sunday it seems, but will start making calls in a few days.

Hey guys,

Sorry but I've been meaning to update this.
The wife has informed me that there is a pat wedding family brunch being organised. 'Awesome'.
So I'm afraid I'll have to can this.

Maybe another time.

No worries - probably best if I play locally that weekend anyway.

Next time perhaps
