Will it be a bad idea to grind the leading edge of a wedge using a rotary tool? If so why? Don't want to pay 200 bucks for a belt grinder that ill only use once....

Surely you know someone that has one in their shed (belt sander I mean)?

funny enough I know no one that has a belt grinder...

I brought a rotary kit that came with about 70 piece... one of them must be usable for this experiment..

Hey Chappy, appreciate the offer, still got to head over and grab the grip...

I probably don't want to burn down your house or anything so will be giving it a go tomorrow, if I never post on this forum again is probably because I lost a finger in the process..

Ok tired it... Went through a stone tip in no time, does work just when u have a shaky hands like me... It was a semi new gc15 wedge, so a slip of the hands went over the wedge face and took off some of the black finish... Conclusion last resort only....
