I'd be playing my regular game at Nudgee on Sunday if they had not scheduled Wynnum Cup. Rotten club has ruined a long weekend. What were they thinking!!!!

Anyone played Wynnum in recent weeks? This was in our last club newsletter;


Wynnum Golf club currently is buying water, as they have run out, and are watering tees and greens only, with their poor old fairways turning to dust, we have been told its preferred lie and tee up due to fairway grasses dying.

I played the Proam in December. There was no preferred lie, but it was bare.

Played it just before xmas and seemed ok. We have had a lot of really hot dry days since then though. I noticed even the dam at oxley is half empty.

With the pending temptest I have not booked anything. Anyone wanting to play is welcome to ring the club and book. I suspect that the Wynnum Cup will once again be postponed though.

Yep, the main part of it seems to be breaking up before its get to us. We have has less than 25mm here since Thursday.

As a result of the weather conditions the Wynnum Open Cup that was scheduled for today (27th January) has been postponed. A new date will be notified in the coming weeks.

Wynnum Cup has been rescheduled. It will now be on Sunday June 2nd. Bookings taken from Saturday 4th may (apparently).
