OZgolf matchplay. 1 nominated day / round, 1 opponent

[LeftyHoges]

Same as fireball matchplay but without the weird rule. Everyone nominates 1 round a month (must be golflink verified) where they will play a randomly picked opponent from their pool. You play your round, your individual hole scores get recorded and played against your random opponent. Rinse and repeat for 5 months until everyone has played each other in their pool. Tops of pools play in semis (randomly drawn again), and then winners play in final. Should be all done and dusted by November.

Rule: If you wish to pull out of your nominated round you must do so before tee off, and post in the thread.

3 points for win, 2 for halved match, 1 for showing up, 0 for forfeit. Margins of victory / defeat will come into play.

I'm playing my nominated round today (as in Saturday) but if you're talking about Thursdays round that I should have nominated then if your round was as bad as you say it was it could well have been an absolute shellacking Hocko. 69 off the bat. I'll run the numbers at the end just to see! ;-)

Meant to be pretty breezy here today / tomorrow and playing with mates who want to drink from the first tee so could well be a chance to shoot only the second round in the 80's in my Golflink.
