checking on Adams website the length on A4 5i (26*) is the same as A12 4i (24*) plus physically measure side by side that is correct.

my question is based on the same shaft spec, this case is KBS Tour regular, will that be wise idea to keep them both in bag? will the A12 4i hits further / same as the A4 5i?

using A4 5i, launch is nice and happy with it. need a 4i filling the gap so tried A12 4i feels good but only on net without any data.

Yep.

The A12s are forged, so you could get the 4i bent stronger in need. Not hard to add 1/2" to the length either, if needed.

so length of shaft doesn't affect much on distance wise but loft on head does?

I find its not so much the length that matters, but how you use it.

1/2" might make a few metres difference at best. Length gets offset by the longer they are the harder to get them out of the middle.

Buy the 4 iron...get it extended by 1/2" to match in with the 5i length and then adjust the loft based on the distance gap you need.
