WA Golf Association (http://www.golfwa.org.au) lists Kennedy as a public course club and not a metropolitan club.

I think that is the difference unfortunately (i.e. not fully affiliated with Golf WA). I will double check though

My Vikings did the job against those Cheeseheads on the weekend to get into the playoffs (and can the hopes of the Bears, YAY!), only to find themselves up against them next week at Lambeau  But just how good was AP...9 yds short FFS.

Based on the players' value to his team, AP should be MVP by a street. Without him the Vikes would be no more than a 6-10 team for the year...possibly a LOT worse.

I was very disappoint that AP didn't get the record. I have been a huge fan of his since he came in the league. His season is by far the most impressive in history, coming off the ACL surgery.

The Vikes looked good last week. The Pack in Lambeau is a different kettle of fish, but anything can happen in a one game playoff.

Cincy is in a bit of trouble with "The Law Firm" hurting this week.

TourFit
3rd January 2013, 03:28 AM
Agreed that The Pack are way harder to beat in the cold of Lambeau (hence the smilie)...and while the Vikes did look good, they didn't really finish it off. They got fairly decent leads TWICE and got pegged back. But their kicker is the best long range guy I've ever seen. 9 from 9 over 50 this year and nearly every kick off is a touch back, 'cos it ends up so deep in their end zone.

I think Cinncy will struggle to get past week 1. As will we, especially at Lambeau.

For me I think that some of the match-ups will be very interesting...I haven't been that impressed with the Ravens much, and Indy made a late charge but have been ordinary at times. Could be an exciting game.

Sucks big time.

I think it should be first in, but they did say there would be a ballot if too many entries received.

Given most people probably entered a full group of 4 people i don't know how they would feasibly cherry pick people out based on handicap so perhaps they put all the groups into a draw?

I know for the WAGC Amateur Open that they do definately go based on handicap as it is a state ranking event. They also randomly group people so wouldn't be a big deal if one person missed out.

I'm assuming they rang Veefore and gave him some further explanation as to the reason why?

Play well. The weather appears overcast with no rain and it's also a cooler temp for playing (for a change).

Played OK with some poor putting. Finally played to handicap.

IDG - 0
Marc - 0
Sean - -2
Rein - -2

Good group ID

We fared a little worse.

Bergsey -1
Shadesy -2
Simmsy -4
Rubin -7

I flushed it all day (only mishit one) but putted like Yoss at the end. I was 4 down with 5 to play and wanted to finish square. Had 6 putts for a plus on the last 3 holes and missed then all (including one under a foot).. Sigh.

Hole 1 was interesting, 239 to the pin, into the breeze. I nailed a 3 wood and still only landed middle of the green.

I punched a 1w pin high right green. 3 putted. Could not hit putts firm enough to make distances.

Thanks for the company guys, was good fun. You are right ID, the greens weren't overly quick but seemed to roll ok. Probably a touch slower than normal Saturday comp pace.

Looks like the winner was on +3. I would have thought someone would have shot the lights out.

With the number of groups playing, if the greens were faster, there would be a lot more putts required and the time taken would rise exponentially.

Good decision to play Par and control speed of the greens.

Plus 2 on the front, -2 on the back due poor putting. Had 5 minuses unfortunately.

Still a chopper!

Still had hold ups though. We were waiting most of the day then on our last hole there were 3 groups on the tee and 3 groups playing the hole.

bergsey

They should have told all mandatory call up on par 3's. if you are going to be waiting to tee off on the next hole might as well call people up ...

thanks for the round lads. My golf sucked, but it was enjoyable all the same. 7 down isnt a bad result considering i hadn't really had a hit a decent track for 2/3 months.

Started coming together at the end, just took me 18 holes to work out what the F*** I was doing with the ball.

Thanks again for the round Bergsey.

Having to wait on pretty much all of them for the 4 old muppets ahead of us was quite annoying. I swear those guys were out for their Sunday stroll in the morning. I reckon they only called us u on 1 cause the blokes ahead of them suggested it....

There saws nowhere to go any. We waited on every hole.

As soon as i asked the guys in front of us to tee off before they blew the siren and they basically told me to get stuffed then i knew it was going to be a long day. Everyone was in position so no point standing around on the tee staring at an empty fairway...

It was an indication yes.

I thought it was also somewhat nice of them to Wait on the 2nd until the group ahead of them was out of even for us, and then proceeded to hit into deep shit about 150m away. If you going to wait until a group is almost 300m away, you want to be damn sure you put it up their ass when u tee off.

The membership pack that I received when I joined Royal Freo had a list of things to observe to maintain the flow of play, last of which I think is very pertinent; "Don't confuse ambition with actual talent". This should be every choppers mantra.
