The countdown has begun, so of course that means that there will be plenty of planning happening behind the scenes.

What's on people's radars for this four day extravaganza?

You love it. I'll bet you even buy 4 new pairs of dickies for it ;)

BenM

I'm going to be purchasing a new outfit or two, and making sure the new gear I got from Sub70 a couple of weeks ago is still looking pristine. I'm thinking a couple more Sligo shirts but nothing too flamboyant, it's all blacks, greys and navies with me.

Also - I will not be mixing stripes and checks. Unlike on the weekend (I packed in a rush) - the one time you have your photo taken on a golf course... lol

2 outfits complete, 2 more to come.

1 planned, just need to purchase.

The other is a concept, not sure how its going to come out but will run with it I think.

I'm liking the sound of this. I'm thinking Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, but in revolutionary sweat wicking fabrics.

Trying to co-ordinate with Benno to get team ACT shirts (matching and bright) once we decide on colour, getting names & Ozgolf Vic champs 2012 embroidered on them.
Then comes getting the correct shorts to wear and of course the shoelaces to match the colour of the shirt..
Not sure that will ever match Lefty's level, but dont want to get left behind in the fashion stakes.

Lets just say with the ensemble I am putting together right now, I am

a) glad I am interstate so nobody I know will see me
b) likely to get bashed if I walk through the CBD wearing this gear...

I'm glad we have a ute as I could not fit my outfits in standard Virgin luggage limits!

Benno, will Monsta65 have to match your silver golf shoes?

I'm a little afraid of what the ACT lads will concoct.

We are working on a daily outfit based around my silver shoes.

My wife is thoroughly disgusted and glad I will be interstate.

You'd be surprised Ben. If they're stylish enough you'll be well in contention. Colours aren't necessary to be "really, really, ridiculously good looking".

Did you have to look up 'subtle'? ;)

You have to admit, Ian0's outfit ticked all the boxes. A centrepiece (stylish pair of shorts) with no other piece of clothing looking like it was out of place.

I'll be politically correct and say both won their categories.

2. Black and blue tartan check stretch spandex skin tight?

Both in 36, happy to loan them for the Vic champs.

First rule: You wear denim to any of these courses you will be lucky to make it through the front gate.
Common sense then applies from there. These clubs will state that certain types of socks are needed but not once have I ever seen them enforce it. Just make sure that all dress is neat and tidy without excessive logos and you'll be fine. Otherwise you may need to fork out $20 in the pro shop for "club socks".

This is one of the very few ways to wear pink. Take note OZgolf...
