Shall we try again?

3rd Sunday is the 16th. Does this suit everyone? Venue is also up for discussion (note that I received an email from Paradise Palms saying that a 2013 Silver Membership can be had for no cost if a round is played in December - this could be the perfect opportunity).

Fairly sure I've got a Christmas party on that day.

Courty
25th November 2012, 07:16 PM
I suspect that may well be the case for a few of us. Alternatively, we could go the Saturday, or the weekend before.

Im ok either day

haysey

Mind you we're talking am aren't we. Most likely be ok depending on final choice of venue.

I should be right for this I think...

Will confirm once venue & time decided...

What's the story with the Silver membership for free?

mike
26th November 2012, 10:24 AM
They're saying if you have a game at PP during December you get free Silver membership, which isn't quite true. From what I remember silver membership gave you a free game, a shirt and discounted green fees. So their claim that there is a saving of $220 is complete bullshit. Having said that I'mm going to take up the offer anyway. $55 for a game at PP is excellent value.
I'll be right for the 16th too.

Courty
26th November 2012, 01:24 PM
There is potential to save a lot more than $220 just on green fees depending on how many times you play there. I'll be taking up the offer.

Sorry guys, but I have choir practice at the church that morning and then have to serve soup at the old peoples home before I go home and clean the house.

There is potential to save a lot more than $220 just on green fees depending on how many times you play there. You are indeed correct, Captain Obvious.

Still, saying you save $220 is bunkum.

I'll be taking up the offer. As will I. I might join twice and save $440.

If I join 4 times I'll save enough for a new set of golf clubs.

mike
26th November 2012, 09:07 PM
I think we might be onto something here.

So no organised matchplay that weekend either eh??

No, that's in a few weekends time (assuming there is enough interest). I never said that matches can't be played outside those group events, as not everyone will be able to make them all).

haysey
3rd December 2012, 06:27 PM

Julie
3rd December 2012, 06:28 PM
Do it Haysey! You know you want to.:)

Courty
3rd December 2012, 06:29 PM

Just borrow Julie's long putter; probably about the right length for you to use as a belly putter anyway...

haysey
3rd December 2012, 07:03 PM
The annoying thing is I actually putt worse with the belly.

Julie
3rd December 2012, 07:08 PM

Bugger, there is a corporate day on in the morning.

We have 2 options:

1. Play at Paradise Palms after midday
2. Play somewhere else.

I would suggest that 2 will probably be the preferred option (and it is for me). Please let me know what you all would prefer to do. If No. 2, give us some suggestions as to where.

haysey
7th December 2012, 04:45 PM

I may as well just toss the pill into every lake, tree root, OB, sprinkler head, sand trap and garden bed.
Has anyone ever gone 9 and 8 before?

Read the first post sailor boy.
No wonder you get lost driving a patrol boat around Lake Barrine.

Speaking of terrorising, rumour has it that Haysey's shuffle around Mount Sheridan every morning has a strong resemblance to the Tarzan guy with the sack over his shoulder you see along the highway.

haysey
13th December 2012, 09:02 AM
There's an idea. I'll have to get the DT's out.

Ned

Updates a bit slow on the outcomes of this thread, rumour has it that a certain Mod is considering Hara-Kiri, a new bag set up, banning Solarman or all of the above!!!

Well played Outcast!

Courty
16th December 2012, 04:16 PM
Yep, Outcast gave me a proper touch-up (no homo).

Julie's decision to play everybody in a fireball today turned out to be quite a poor one in the end.

Courty
16th December 2012, 04:23 PM
Results from todays round:

Carlton/outcast I had no idea that you hit such a fantastic ball, it was wonderful to watch.:)
And definitely all the best men won today.:)
