Was at the lakes a long time ago 98/99 and gave it away due to sporting commitments.

Have been a member for just on two years again now. Loving getting back into my golf.

Got a great atmosphere at the club I think.

How are you guys finding it? Do you guys play midweek? Or most wknds?

What are you guys playing off?

Ah nice, If there is a few members here we will have our own Canberra champs.

I'm off 10 at the moment and hitting them terrible.

Would love to play more often, i'm a sparky and work for myself so makes it hard sometimes organising employees and work.

Best club in Canberra for sure. My old man deals with Yamaha golf carts and sees quite a few courses round Canberra.

He reckons the lakes is killing most courses in Canberra right now, with the course the way it is and the club.

Great set up.

Cheers

If you accept out-of-staters, then count me in.

Stick me in Benno's group, so we can have the next staging of the Antarctica Cup.

A) living in Gympie; or
B) the shame and humiliation that comes with using a long putter?

The pokies to make a huge difference to cost and participation levels at clubs. Noticed when Benno showed me a round.

Trawled through 2+ pages of mostly nonsense. I guess that everybody is as ignorant as me why the PGA is holding the Open here again.Does anybody consider it worthy of a third Ozy Open on the trot?

Golf Australia Ray. Not the PGA. Sydney paid for the rights and The Lakes is probably the best venue when all is weighed up.
