OK Vic Ozgolfers, if we are going to do this I need to know firm attendees. The Pro Shop has informed me that I am allowed 3 guests but that the Manager can approve for me to have some additionals. We can get off the Tee after between 12:00 and 1:00pm but I need to have solid numbers by COB Thursday this week.

Normal cost is $60 for the round but I believe I can get you on for $45 as a member's guest. Anyone who is a member of another club can enter the comp of the day (up to you)

Add your name if you are interested.

30* apparently. Sounds like it will be muggy as hell. Yippee!

Will still be enjoyable though.

Come on other VIC's, we should be at least able to make a 4 here...

And we're off! For th sake of drama I'm going to talk in the third person!

Lefty tops his drive about 120m off the first and Ian hits a 30m carve right.

Lefty makes par, Ian makes birdie. 1 down. Could be over VERY quickly.

LeftyHoges
25th November 2012, 12:15 PM
Pair of pars on the second. Still one down.

LeftyHoges

Lefty pars 3, Ian bogeys. Still one down.

LeftyHoges
25th November 2012, 12:28 PM
Missed any 10 footers yet?

Made a lovely one on 2 from 10 feet for the half. The others have been tap in pars from 15 feet plus.

LeftyHoges
25th November 2012, 12:53 PM
Lefty pars 4, Ian unmentionables. Back to square.

Lefty makes miraculous up and down from fried egg for par but Ian birdies 5 with a great shot. Back to one down.

LeftyHoges
25th November 2012, 01:04 PM
Lefty birdies 6 but Ian pars. Still one down.

LeftyHoges
25th November 2012, 01:21 PM
Lefty birdies 7, back to square.

Lefty completely ****s up 8, Ian makes a solid par to get back to one up.

LeftyHoges

Lefty birdies 9, back to square. Ian has two wipes for 18 points through 9 and lefty has one wipe for 20.

Cheers Chappy, greens are absolutely mint. I haven't missed anything outside 8 or so feet. Maybe even 10. Ian striking it fairly solidly. Has been great golf.

LeftyHoges
25th November 2012, 02:27 PM
Spoke too soon. Just missed a 9 footer for birdie on 12. My par to Ian's par puts me back to one down.

LeftyHoges
25th November 2012, 02:43 PM
Lefty pars 13 and Ian finally doesn't get a shot on the hole! Back to square. Great tussle!

LeftyHoges
25th November 2012, 03:09 PM
Lefty pars 14 to take the lead again. 15 is halved so lefty is 1 up with three to play. Stage set for an epic choke!

LeftyHoges
25th November 2012, 03:30 PM
Ian pars 16 with a shot, then ferrets 17 to drive a dagger in to leftys heart, while leftys ferret attempt just slides by the cup.

Ian leads 1 up coming down the last while both players have a shot.

LeftyHoges
25th November 2012, 03:55 PM
And lefty rolls in the 12 footer for birdie on the last to tie it up.

Playoff time!!!

A chip in. Holed it from about 15 metres.

What colour belt is that lefty?

IanO
25th November 2012, 04:31 PM
It was a great game that could have gone either way. If it wasn't for Lefty sinking every bloody putt inside 12' i would have won it easy! I can't complain as I have never had 3 birdies in one round before.

Is there a trophy?

What colour belt is that lefty?

It's two shades of blue that identically match my shirt and pants. Jesus!

To all the critics please note:
White shoes, belt, pants (black lines)
Black shirt and hat

Courty

The choice of belt is questionable, Lefty. And I can't believe SMS has never heard of a ferret (in the golfing sense).

But I bet Lefty got asked for more quotes to fit and balance new tyres than you did.

Actually I'd better jump in here before you all start congratulating Ian.

The winner was.... Me!

A birdie (yes, another one, Ian and I had 8 between us) on the first playoff hole was enough to take home the choccies!

For those playing at home Ian finished with 35 points, an 85 off the stick, to my 39 points or 72 off the bat, yet we still finished all square through 18. Great golf all round.

Thanks Ian, was a pleasure playing with you and the course was magnificent.

WEll done Ian - oops I mean Lefty!!! Sorry - who won???
Seriously - from the past Victorian Champion to the new one - A big Congrats. The queen is dead - long live the king!!!
Sorry we couldn't make it. Just a bit late in the year for us with lots of family commitments. Hopefully next year we will be there.

We statred the year well with getting the matches played but dropped off towards the end of the year. How about we try to plan dates in advance so we can get as many of the Vic together to play.

Fg what a great idea! Maybe some tentative dates can be sorted at the Vic Champs?

Lefty, your 39 points won you a ball!

My ntp won me some money (so not a total loss on the day)

You came close to winning A grade. Winning scores on the day:
A Grade - 40 points ( hc 12 )
B Grade - 44 points ( hc 15 )
C Grade - 42 points ( hc 28 )

Good idea. We can campaign every one to join in. Then pick a date (or two) for each round and a host club. Maybe....

Good stuff, congrats on the NTP, that was a great shot and a great birdie. Keep the ball if you like Ian, a hosting prize for you!

Just out of curiosity, what prize do the winners get normally?

I was going to blame my brain fart double bogey on 8 for costing me the trophy but I think I more than made up for that with some of the putts that dropped!

I will ask Marty if I can pick it up for you. I can bring it in Feb. (ProV1?)

Just out of curiosity, what prize do the winners get normally?
Saturday is usually a $75 voucher and Sunday is a $45 voucher (it is based on the number of starters)
