If you go through the links it says members of the department should be Australian citizens, that is, no yarpies, no poms, no kiwis. I am led to believe there are some Australian citizens over there, hence my 25% guesstimate

So I could be one of the the useless unhelpful pricks at AQIS instead of on the other end of the telephone.
Interesting....

Solid entry level into an executive position.
Dpn't know about living in Canberra. I don't think everybody is like WB, so it won't be much fun.

Shows you how much thought about it. In that case, it is not a lot of money for what the title professes. I thought L1 exec was about 30k higher.

DAFF are poorly paid cousins on the bigger Depts. Could be an interesting position, you are basically the local IT client services manager (but not the hands on IT) for WA - so the AQIS office, various export abattoirs, hort and grain and fisheries offices. There is a significant change program underway with the Dept in IT.
I think they are paying overs for the role but its a good way into a lower level Management role in the Commonwealth Govt if that is what you are after

It's the public service, so not a real job, and therefore a stupid amount of coin. Someone should jump all over it. Grunt?

My Job is moving to Perth Airport, so I was thinking about a job in the city.
Guess that rules that out.
