I am coming down for this. I'm just looking at tickets on the PGA site. They are $75 for a season pass. In the past I have always received tickets from Oxley Golf Club. As I am not a member there anymore, does anyone know what the deal is with tickets.

Will they be handed out to local clubs as per previous years.

I think there will be a few nervous people around Coolum this week hoping the event runs without any hitches from the course owner. Proving to be a little erratic.

It was off yesterday, then back on. The owner doesn't want to back down on the advertising logo's being sprayed on the fairways - almost 4 per hole - 65 or so in total. After being told no he instructed his staff to head out and dig up the 9th green with an excavator, before being talked around it (he got his way with logo's).

Wonder if there are odds on whether the tournament will get through the week.

All the above rumours are true. More importantly it is already being shopped around other Sunny Coast venues and still in the pipeline for Sanctuary Cove. I have access to about 10 one day passes if anyone wants them. I missed pre q today and cant be stuffed driving back up the sunny coast again this week, one round trip on the gateway and M1 will do for me. Collection from the driving range at Robina Woods, oops Palmer gold coast. But be warned I may install some dinosaurs at the range soon so be careful when coming in, lol

Ah the JFK mystery solved.

Aussie Golfer also believes that some of the tense negotiations centred around Palmer's wish to hold a memorial to John F. Kennedy on the ninth hole during Saturday's third round. The Herald-Sun reported (http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/national/jfks-daughter-will-help-launch-titanic-ii-project-says-clive-palmer/story-fncynkc6-1226487268433) that JFK's daughter Caroline Kennedy intends to help Palmer launch his replica Titanic which may partially explain the memorial plans.

Poppa has been everywhere. He was a junior at Yowani where (according to the Canberra Times) he idolised Matt Millar. He has now had one more Aus PGA tour win than Matt...

Toss pot Popa is the new Australian PGA champion that has run away with the trophy leading from day one and winning by four shots . How he did it , who cares . About using a putter off the green and not using a wedge , who gives a ---- , what matters is he has just won $225,000 and opened up doors for future success .
Think I know who the Toss pot is now , and it's not Popa but someone called Ferrins.

It was a self effacing joke post by the Ferret genuis, the Trolls have got your trigger finger really itchy haven't they?. The Ferret couldn't chip to save himself at the moment. Can't find the link to the thread with the photo of him using a putter from 30 metres.

I had a great day at PGA yesterday.... Was hungover as hell, and everything hurts today. I managed to see plenty of great golf, the boys were pouring the birdies in early.

* Poppa played out of his skin, from what I saw of him. The quality of the putt from off the green was sensational. I was about 5m from him, and he was dead. The steepness of the bank made the shot so much harder, to get up a down under that pressure, WELL DONE, SON. He seemed to be the people fav yesterday, with the younger crew anyway.

* Pamps played well, but thing started to change early on the back nine. Early on everything he hit was crisp. Being a a follower of RSS it was awesome to watch him at work.

* Watched Clarke/Bowdo group early, But decided to ditch the group after 5 holes because I had put the mozza on Bowdo. Clarke started hot, and hit a couple of cracking shots ( the second into the par 5 3rd to set up eagle was crazy good) .

* Jeff the T-Rex is cool.... Uncle Clive has done well ;).

CobraSS
17th December 2012, 07:59 PM
I also followed Bowdo's group around, but for the full 18 holes, the new 1st hole is tough, Bowdo finding the edge of the trees with his drive then putting his third into the piss and then another one in the piss on the 3rd hole, made for a poor start, 4 under on the back nine helped his cause, but too little to late. Clarke started well, 4 under after 5 holes, but just couldn't go on with it.

Happy for hooker to have a rip as the young bloke put on a stirling performance and shouldn't be slanded for no reason.I was also unaware of mummies boy posting a video of me. Maybe poops should of recorded the one from off the 16th green, where he said he would give me $40 if I made it and it hit the pin.

One of the things I noticed was a lot of the pro's are sponsored by Titleist, and have their bags, caps, clothes, FJ shoes etc. Most of them seem to use the 712 irons and vokey wedges. A large number though are hitting the TM white drivers (R11s or RBZ) ans using odyssey putters, all camouflaged under Titlest head covers. Titleist must have the best sales team and largest endorsement bucket I would say.

BITS, so true.
Ther Pro-Am i played up at Glenmore (KJ's home track) was dominated by Titleist gear on the prctice green....
Both Pro's i played with where fully kitted out with Titty gear, sans 1 putter.......(Betti something from memory)
Same story at the Aussie Open.
I suppose only the top Aussie players really get to choose/approached by other big name Company's, looks like Titty throw gear at the rest,....

Thought I would bring up the demise of the 2012 Aust PGA Champ, Daniel Popovic. I was just on the PGA site, checking dates for upcoming tournaments, and was perusing the moneylist.

Popovic has made $740.00 this year. Anyone know if he has been injured, or just a shit golfer who robbed me of Pampling winning at 50-1.
