Might be worth a phone call.

Since when do golf courses voluntarily divulge that sort of information?

For a group booking where we've got personal contact with a rep from the club I would certainly hope so. Can we move this to this years thread Andy?

I'll alert Andigold to it Benno. I'm sure he'll dismiss it, but check anyway.

With two INternational events in November, I'm sure come February everything will be back normal again and we'll be laughing!

My thoughts exactly Benno!

There was no scheduled maintenance activity conducted at Royal Melbourne during February in 2013.

As such, there is little possibility of any being done in February 2014.

This.

Plus confirmation from Andigold who has been speaking to RM, there are no reno's planned.

Everyone happy?

The only renovations will be from Lefty digging one of the bunkers a little deeper in a fit of rage.

In all fairness, all of the sand stayed INSIDE the bunker. More a transference of surface than a renovation.

RM is on Friday, so I should still have at least 1 left.

That's true. It was a pretty big bunker with lots of sand, so it probably counted as vigorous raking rather than renovations.

I think the flower beds are probably in danger of a bit of renovation if the Cairns contingent makes its way down.

There are no flower beds anywhere near the playing line at RM. You will have to pay attention a bit to notice the sand refill stations around the course.

I want to see Lefty take on the bunker on 10 and fail and then watch his second shot.

February is club championship time at RM. The course will be mint.

Who said they had to be near the playing line? :)

As far as Bob is concerned, the further they are off line the more they are in play.

Just re-reading this thread for the joys.... came upon this.

I certainly did take on the bunker on 10 and fail.

My second shot was a 54° wedge to approximately 8 feet.

I, of course, missed the putt.
