Had a swing with an R5 TP with Diamana 83-S today at Power Golf. On their simulator I got a very tight shot pattern so it performs well.

In terms of feel... I'd have to say the Diamana is the best feeling shaft I have hit. It feels crisper and tighter than an NV, feels a lot smoother than a Graf Blue whilst having that low torque tightness that is so reassuring, and feels a lot like a Speeder 757 although a little smoother. It definitely feels like it can take a lot more in terms of a hard swing than a Speeder 569 or 553. Compared to an Accra SC 75 it feels a little more lively.

I really like this shaft a lot.

Mate I have 7 of these in my garage

3 x Ion Diamana ones with flowerbands (although I think 2 are sold - waiting on confirmation from buyer).

4x Prototypes One - I sold the X Flex one to a guy in Canada and I am dealing with two other guys in the states.

I am going to keep one of each in my stable.

Terrence is right - I have played all types of Fujis 553, 661, 652, 757, 869 and 952s and I can honestly say without doubt that the Diamana shafts is better - smoother and with a much tighter dispersion and more to the point pretties :roll:

But these aint cheap - The Ion Silver ones I am selling for $250 USD which is a bargain compared to the fact that BSG sells them for $315 USD and well the proto ones I have sold for $400 USD.

Jaster dont worry - I may have a nice and clean Tour Spec Fujikura 757 pullout for you to put into your 905S

Thats interesting! I've hit a few of the Diamana's but their too dam heavy for me. Tho I did hit a 63 and that was very nice. The specs on the shafts leave a little to be desiered for such an expensive shaft. They have some big spines and CPM drops. But they do feel nice.

On a note on the R5 Tp tho, I had a guy in the shop this week, he is a 1 handicapper from Commonwealth. He bought in a Nak 460 that he got from a mate who plays on the canadian tour which had a Graf Blue S in it, he didn't like it and we went through the fit and put a UST V2 75 X in it. When he picked it up we got on the launchy and he told me the reason why he wanted to give the Nak a go was the R5 just wasn't going anywhere. To cut it short, the Nak had 3-4mph extra ball speed over the R5 TP. I'd be more interested tho in testing the tour heads against the TP heads.

Pete - dont worry my friend I kept two of the Ion Plated Diamana with Flowerband ones for "locals" :wink:

Last I heard one is going down south (confirmed tonight) and the other remaining one may have a new home soon also down south.

I have 2 left of the Black Proto ones if anyone here wants one :wink: No trades for kidneys will be considered but I will listen to serious offers (please pm these :roll: )
