went to drummond, they reckon even their members have to pay $479 for the anser driver.. what a rip off.I am thinking of getting one to try after i had hit of it at a recent demo day, don't mind it (non JDM i know!!)i could probably land them here for around $400 tops. local courier might be a bit extra, but Brisbane guys can pick up.choice of 4 shafts (no difference in price), head loft etc.if anyone is keen, let me know before i pull the trigger..... J So the extra $80 is a rip off when you can get fit at Drummond and the store has overheads to cover and profit to be made?

you have that little confidence in ping or me?

well, at less than $400 a pop, rather than what i had previous, i don't mind giving it a shot, or i should just continue to demo from the club and see if the honeymoon period will wear off.....

was gonna wait for the 913s, but hate to be driverless till then... hopefully someone else will be in to share the freight over, otherwise, would have pulled the trigger already....

I got a qoute a while ago, was less than $400......
Would have brought one in with my i20's but there was 2 hybrids and a Scotty in there and the weight and $$$$ (customs value) would have not been worth it..

I found the Ping Anser to be very low spin, but ball speed around 2mph slower than my 910D3. This suprised me, as most people say the 910s have average ball speed.

It is a shame, as the spin was 2,400 compared to 2,900 on my D3. On the course, the D3 was about 5m longer.

Fergo $330Seems closer, 400 would be feathering ones nest i'd say.

Covering overheads, like Drummonds, but they are a rip off.

i love the crazy shaft in my epon 902, that goes a mile and straight as, not sure why it didn't work in the driver.....

In America there is no up charge on the shafts, in Australia we are being bent over and being charged $100 extra if you don't take the stock TFC shaft

hence .. rip off....

hey K, I am contemplating on a new driver, 10.5 d like yours, was thinking of RBZ, not a fan of R11 lines.
but the anser did feel nice..

thoughts on your RBZ ?

BroKar

Mate I don't like the RBZ, but I can't argue with the results, I was really keen on an anser but thinking i20 with ADDI or ADDJ6

career4jerry

if i come across a pull DJ or DI6 stiff, i will grab it for you to ship with my 'to be named' driver. might even consider the new miura 460???

Don't know where you read that?
The Anser driver in Australia is RRP $500.00 with choice of any of the 4 shafts.

Why are Ping clubs so expensive? Anybody!

pingmanjas
9th September 2012, 10:20 AM
Ping don't change their models every 6 months like Taylor made then sell the previous ones cheap.

razaar

I thought Pings were more expensive because they are made in America. The Company has its foundry in Arizona. Maybe I'm wrong.

I am pretty sure pings come out of china now. My i20s had made and assembled in china on them.

Ping isn't all that more expensive I'm America from what I can see, it's the Aussie distributor where the mark up happens, I can get Ping Anser from America 330 plus shipping, thats $90 cheaper than the wholesale price here or close enough.

Wow, $330 is a great price. How much for shipping to 1. Bris and 2. A mate in NC USA?
