My club championships don't start until November, and I'm not playing in them anyway.

I'm available.

Book it, and we will be there :)

Hi all - I could only get one tee time - which is sort of hard to believe calling up at 5.50am. Sorry ALD - next time.

7.40am tee time - $30 - they take credit cards. I'll be there about 20 min beforehand.

It turned out to be a stinker of a day and cool drinks were definitely welcome at the 19th hole!

Here are the scores (stableford):

Jim - 40
Matt (Golf Punk - hopefully he'll join here soon) - 34
Trung - 31
Amanda - 26

I was leaving putts hanging on the lip all day :? and had numerous other troubles. Jim made lots of birdies and put a lot of approach shots very close to the pin.

Memorable moment was when Trung bladed a chip at the 1st and it rolled straight to the centre of the cup - but bounced out. Lucky the flag wasn't in - otherwise it would have been a huge ricochet!

Before any of the guys dob me in - I let a few expletives fly during the day - I putted in from off the green for a 2 pointer on the 8th and it was the first break I'd had all day - it was about time!

Well played Jim. You must have had your power-fade working ... Good to see that you kicked Trung's butt in the matchplay. 8)

Amanda, there's nothing wrong with a few s words and f words during a round of golf ... especially when you are playing with 3 blokes ... 8)

Shocked   is my best description of the day.

Shocked by Amanda's foul language when putts go in. You are supposed to swear at bad shots or bad luck

Shocked by my own good shots. I normally don't hit the ball very close, but two of my three putting birdies were from 3 feet and 3 inches (on 18, no less).

Shocked by my first chip-in (for birdie, on 2) for a very long time.

Shocked by the lack of recognition for hitting a wedge to 3 feet on 15. The other four were apparently talking about 3 woods (goddamn equipment 'ho's :P ), and weren't watching.

Shocked by not being able to make up debts on the day. Let the record show that I owe Brad a bacon and egg roll (very nice for breakfast at the 4th tee by the way), and a shout of drinks to both Amanda and Trung. My shout next time

Also shocked by how friendly the trees are. Trung knocked at least three into the trees that got propelled into the clear, and I think Amanda may have received the same luck a couple of times.

As usual with OzGolfer Days, it was a fun day.

Getting short bursts of sleep ... :? One more night shift tonight, and then I've got a week off. 8)

What's your Ozgolf matchplay record now? Must be almost as bad as mine ...

Mate, that's a finely tuned Railgun putter you are looking at. :?

The feel off the putter face beats any Scotty Cameron putter, IMO. 8)

Comes with a Green Beret headcover too ...

Great work Jim!

Too bad about the scratch - both of those guys don't even shave yet!

From memory it will be a $40 voucher for use at the pro shop, bar or bistro.

What about using that to get yourself a cheap hybrid 2 iron?

Congrats, Jim. 8)
