If any of you QLD's have never played in one of these days, do yourself a favour!
Great format, super prizes etc....
Ive played in 3-4 events over the years.
I made the last 3 at an event at St Micks in Sydney a few years ago, got beat on the last hole by a guy with 2 shots on the hole....

hello fellow oz golf members! i have a very special offer in regards to this event...Shootout Golf have approximately 100 players signed up for this event. Due to the fact that the organiser would very much like to have more new people experience the format he would like to offer 20 spots in the event for $25 exclusively to ozgolf members. This is strictly for 20 people. The first 20 to email Chris directly will get that rate. Prefferably people who have never played in one of his events before. His email address is chris@shootoutgolf.com.au So thats 18 holes with cart this Friday for a 11am Shotgun Start at RACV Royal Pines Resort, be prepared for the shootout format at the end of 18 holes which usually lasts about 1 hour If you wouldnt mind posting in here as well as I would be interested to see who takes this deal.CheersJeff

Thanks for the day Jeff. Awesome format and a great day. I am a fan and look forward to trying to get out to another one. The shootout idea at the end is good fun. Great to watch a gentle giant like larger shaking like a leaf on the tee. Piss funny.
Thanks larger for getting me there. The only person who deserved to beat him was the young girl that shot one under off the stick. Freak.

jeffblaz
21st September 2012, 07:18 PM
i guess that was thing thing i was most nervous about.... the format... im a fan and have been doing shootout events for close to 10 years... people just need to be exposed to it... hopefully the experience here will help and attract new players.

markTHEblake

this is how the final worked., 8 players play the last hole (on the 3rd 9) , then the best 3 play a 100m hole to the pratice green.

Lager has two shots, almost everyone else has one shot, and a few of them flush it to 50m from the green. Lager scruffs one left, and it actualy runs through a massive bunker and sits up pretty in the rough about 140m out. All he has got to do is bunt it to the green, two shots, how could he go wrong?

with two shots on the hole he has this 20 ft put for a par and 4 stableford points that would guarantee him a spot in the final three. Miss and its a sudden death putting comp to play on.

The Final 3 players, and a 100m par 3. First bloke, hits it to about 10 feet, but Lager has a shot, his final comment before hitting is something about shanking it into the people on the right.

Oh sorry, that's right, Collingwood....

markTHEblake

Here it is, a $5500 putt. If he holes this he goes to Vegas, misses, and the other joker has a putt to tie it. (who after the fact was heard to be whining about Lagerlover getting a shot on the hole)

The money shot $5500 trip to vegas, airefares, MGM Grand hotel, and golf, and pool party (Lager in his Y Fronts). The other bloke misses giving Lager an easy put, well easy for everyone else.

Bit over the top with the celebration though and the loser spoiling lagers moment of glory in front of the camera
