Troon will be managing the course so with their cut on the green fees I would expect it to be around the $60 - $70 mark. I think they'd be stupid to charge more than Northlakes. If they can keep it around the $50 they'll kill it.

Maybe as an opening special. I'd bet that within 6-12 months of opening, they're Fri-Sun rate is over $100.

Just had a mate appointed the GM for this course.... I am looking forward to seeing it, but won't be back in Qld till June next year, so you'll have to give a review when it finally gets played.... :D

One of the guys at work has a bit to do with QM, and he said today they had 15 of the fairways grassed in.
Certainly getting enough rain in recent weeks. We had another nasty storm slide past Caboolture this evening and clobber Redcliffe.

Davemason

Are we any closer to getting a day organized for this

BrisVegas

I rang a few weeks back and their opening date is April 1st! No joke. The special introductory price is $50 midweek and $60 on Fri-Sun. those prices are walking. Cart fee is $15.

I'd assume the prices will go up once the clubhouse opens in June/July, so maybe May or June would be a good time to check it out.

There's not that much on the website yet. Just a small write up on a couple of holes.

Had to go to Bribie for some work inspections today, including checking whether it was OK to seal the survey plan (titles) for the Pacific Harbour Golf Course. Only saw a little bit of the course, didn't get to walk any of it, but I'm already drooling.

We're going to need our A-Grade game for the champs. Some of the bunkering (and water) just looks scary.

A grade game?
thats being a bit generous towards our games

205m par 3 with bunker and water the whole way down the right
this course will kill us all

After walking that hole, I think layup is the best option. The question is, where is a good spot to layup to.

BrisVegas will agree that my 'layup' will go in the water or bunkers anyway.

Holy Crap! I'm feeling a little intimidated already.

Does Dr Bob have a book on dealing with monsters?

i thought hills international had some long par 3's

but atleast you dont have to carry water to get to the green
and then they throw in some sand for a bit of fun

From memory, the 17th green didn't look too easy either.

Those 18th fairway traps seem pretty penal, although not pots. Doesn't look like you will be going at the green from those.

I'd certainly be interested in a freebie May round on the course.

Holy $hit Batman  how scary does the 17th look??
I think I will be bringing a few extra balls to this track :smt087

reminds me of 17 at Hope Island, the common play there is also to bunt it down the right for the high markers.

If I remember correctly, the 18th is the hole where onewood smacked driver driver to reach just over the back of the green. Teed up both times of course. The second was a great shot with nothing but water to the right of the green.

great pics Richard. The fairway pic on 18 shows the grass to be comign in nicely.

$50 on a weekend is still a great price. Appreciate you getting us the discount. Count me in for the May/June game. Just not June 18th please.... (Nudgee plate & wife's b'day)

Golfgirl

The course looks great 69, is that the clubhouse under construction in the background?? I thought they would be further down the track with that given the 1st April opening??

Can't wait to play this one - will be back in Qld for a week in early June - maybe we can hook up for a game. How is the back progressing 69?
